    摘要: In a specific embodiment, a connector 100 is disclosed. The connector 100 comprises an insulative housing 102 defining a rear opening 108 for receiving a plurality of electrical wires 110 and a front opening 106 and a circuit board 104 disposed in the housing 102 and comprising a mating section 112 for mating with a corresponding mating section of a mating connector. The mating section 112 protrudes outwardly from the front opening 106 and terminates at a front edge 118 disposed between opposing side edges 114,116 of the mating section 112. The connector 100 further comprises opposing side arms 128,130 extending forwardly from opposing lateral sides 124,126 of the front opening 106 along, adjacent and beyond corresponding side edges 114,116 of the mating section 112 with a maximum separation between each side edge 114,116 and the corresponding side arm 128,130 being sufficiently small so that when the connector 100 mates with a mating connector, no portion of the mating connector can be inserted between the side edge 114,116 and the corresponding side arm 128,130. Other exemplary embodiments are also disclosed.

The outer conductor includes four plate portions surrounding outer peripheral surfaces of the inner conductors, a rear plate portion for closing a rear surface of the outer conductor and an opening provided behind the bottom plate portion and in front of the rear plate portion. The inner conductor includes a board connecting portion projecting outwardly of the outer conductor through the opening. The outer conductor includes a common base end portion connected to a rear end of the bottom plate portion via a bent portion and projecting toward the same side as the board connecting portion, and a plurality of branched pieces projecting from a projecting end of the common base end portion while being arranged in a width direction of the common base end portion.

    摘要: An electrical connector system with a receptacle and plug. The receptacle has a metal housing encircling an insulative housing. A side wall of the metal housing is separated from a corresponding side wall of the insulative housing, leaving a groove. The plug has a wall, extending from an insulative housing of the plug, parallel to a paddle card. The metal housing may be shaped to engage with the wall during mating of the plug and receptacle, facilitating alignment of the paddle card and plug interface of the receptacle. The wall may also carry latching components, which may latch to corresponding features of the metal housing, reducing the height of the mated connectors in comparison to configurations in which the latching components are mounted to the insulative housing of the plug. The receptacle housing may have asymmetric support parts, providing support in a compact space.
