摘要： Alignment structures are included in high-speed data cage assemblies to prevent damage to one or more electronic components connected within the cage assembly and prevent misalignment of connected components. The alignment structures extend inwardly into a port and prevent movement of a module beyond the intended position of the module in a port. This allows connection between the module and a connector and prevents misalignment of the module. Damage to either the module or the connector by misalignment or by over-insertion of the module is prevented.

The cap in an upper bay can extend from the upper bay in a direction that is opposite a direction the cap in the lower port extends. The cage may include a plurality of spring fingers therein which engage with a conductive bezel. The cage provides EMI shielding for the plug connector.

摘要： An assembly including a plug connector (22) and a conductive cage (20). The plug connector includes a housing (44), a projection (66) extending therefrom, and a paddle card (60) mounted therein. The cage (20) includes a cage housing (26) forming an inner area and at least one cap (64) forming a keyway (68). The housing (44) of the plug connector (22) is received in the inner area (36) of the cage (20) and the projection (66) of the plug connector (22) is received in the keyway (68) of the cage (20). The cage (20) may include a plurality of spring fingers therein which engage with a conductive bezel (122). The cage (20) provides EMI shielding for the plug connector (22).

摘要： Various aspects of reworkable press-fit legs are described. In one example, a press-fit leg includes a flat beam extension region, a bent beam region, and a head region. Extending along a longitudinal axis of the leg, the bent beam region of the leg is positioned between the flat beam extension region and the head region of the leg. The bent beam region curves apart and away from the longitudinal axis of the leg, along a segment of a circle. The bent beam region and bent beams are compressible and can extend in length to some extent when inserted into mounting apertures. When removed from the mounting apertures, the bent beam regions also bend back to their original shapes, which facilitates rework of cages and other housings including the legs.
