摘要: Methods, apparatus, and systems involving high aspect ratio conduits are provided. These may involve a plurality of high aspect ratio leaching channels that may be spaced a predetermined distance apart from each other. The predetermined distance can facilitate backfilling of the volumes of adjacent high aspect ratio leaching channels. The backfill may be sand as well as other materials.

摘要: A wastewater treatment apparatus for remediation of a wastewater treatment system has a septic tank with a lower sludge layer and an upper liquid effluent layer. The apparatus is comprised of a brush that includes a brush arm having a first end, a second end, and bristles disposed on the brush arm between the first end and the second end. The brush is configured to be positioned within the liquid effluent layer in the septic tank in a vertical orientation such that the second end is disposed below the first end.

摘要: Water treatment structures may have at least a first geotextile fabric layer; a second geotextile fabric layer; a third geotextile fabric layer; a first filler layer with plastic particles, arranged between the first and second geotextile fabric layers; and a second filler layer with plastic particles, arranged between the second and third geotextile fabric layers, wherein the geotextile fabric layers and the filler layers are within a housing, and wherein the structure is configured such that contaminated water proceeds sequentially through the first geotextile fabric layer, the first filler layer, the second geotextile fabric layer, the second filler layer, and the third geotextile fabric layer. Methods of treating wastewater may involve passing wastewater, after optional oxygenating and pre-filtering, through such alternating layers of geotextile, preferably nonwoven, and polymer particles.

摘要: An aerator assembly for wastewater treatment includes a draft tube and an air supply assembly. The draft tube includes a sidewall and presents open top and bottom tube ends. The air supply assembly includes an air supply conduit and a diffuser body. The diffuser body has an inlet aperture and a bubble generator connected to the inlet. The inlet aperture is connected to the air supply conduit such that the bubble generator receives air from a source of air, to which the air supply conduit is connected. The bubble generator has a plurality of air openings for generating fine air bubbles. The diffuser body is sealingly engaged to the sidewall adjacent the bottom tube end so as restrict upward flow of wastewater through the draft tube past the diffuser body.

摘要: A cord for supporting a biofilm has a plurality of yarns. At least one of the yarns comprises a plurality of hollow fiber gas transfer membranes. At least one of the yarns extends along the length of the cord generally in the shape of a spiral. Optionally, one or more of the yarns may comprise one or more reinforcing filaments. In some examples, a reinforcing yarn is wrapped around a core. A module may be made by potting a plurality of the cords in at least one header. A reactor may be made and operated by placing the module in a tank fed with water to be treated and supplying a gas to the module. In use, a biofilm covers the cords to form a membrane biofilm assembly.
