摘要: An automated method for facilitating management of a data processing environment is disclosed. In various embodiments, the method may include facilitating creation of a first memorialization, in digital form, of first one or more changes made to a first data processing device of the data processing environment. In various embodiments, the method may further include facilitating creation of a second and a third memorialization, both in digital form, of second and third one or more changes made to a second and a third data processing device of the data processing environment, respectively. In various embodiments, the method may still further include facilitating automated approval of the second and third changes made to the second and third data processing devices, using the first, second and third memorializations. Other embodiments of the present invention may include, but are not limited to, apparatus adapted to facilitate practice of the above-described method.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed that ensure high availability of such an architecture hosted on commodity platforms. One method includes initializing, by an operating system, execution of a process by the programmable circuit, the process including a firmware environment representing a virtual computing system, the process further including one or more workloads to be executed within the process. The method also includes allocating a portion of the memory for use by the process, the portion of memory including a plurality of memory segments, and generating a plurality of area descriptors associated with the plurality of memory segments, each of the area descriptors defining a location and length of a corresponding memory segment. The method includes quiescing execution of the process and capturing contents of the portion of memory and the plurality of area descriptors associated with the process.

摘要: A network service provisioning system may generate a data structure for configuring hardware and implementing an information system based on user responses to dynamically branching prompts. The provisioning system may generate an initial process map for the information system based on the user's responses and a determined information processing task. As described further herein, the provisioning system may break the initial process map into one or more sub-processes and proceed to individually optimize the sub-processes utilizing parallel process on a plurality of worker nodes. The provisioning system may apply a master template based to the intermediate process map to generate one or more optimization recommendations for the intermediate process map. Once a final optimized process map is generated by the provisioning system, the provisioning system may provide the optimized process map to an automatic orchestrator system for configuring and implementing the information system represented by the optimized process map.

摘要: Techniques are for rule-based continuous drift and consistency management for target systems. In one embodiment, a set of rules is stored in volatile or non-volatile store. The set of rules may include one or more drift rules and/or one or more consistency rules. A rule may be applied to one or more associated targets to detect drift or inconsistency. A drift rule identifies a set of one or more attributes and a source and may be applied by comparing a first configuration of the set of one or more attributes on an associated target with a second configuration of the set of one or more attributes on the source. A consistency rule may be applied to a composite target by comparing member targets that are grouped by target type. Notification data may be output if target drift or inconsistency is detected to alert a user.

摘要: An apparatus and method for providing a cloud hosted application able to manage virtual network (“VN”) is disclosed. In one embodiment, a process of managing VN using virtual machines (“VMs”) receives a message or request from a user requesting a new VN to be built. The request is sent from a dashboard to a network orchestrator via a communication network. The orchestrator is a VN manager able to facilitate building a VN based on users' input. In one aspect, the orchestrator provides a set of templates that represent VN devices or components to users for facilitating construction of VN. After configuring a VN, a cloud capable of hosting the network is selected. The network or VN is subsequently launched using at least a portion of computing resources allocated in the cloud.

摘要: A method for upgrading a network functions virtualization application includes creating, by a virtualized infrastructure manager (VIM), a network resource according to an upgrade plan for the network functions virtualization application; creating, by the VIM, a virtual machine for a new-version virtualized network function (VNF) according to the upgrade plan; configuring, by the VIM, the virtual machine on a test network according to the network resource; performing, by the VIM, upgrade configuration on the virtual machine according to an upgrade configuration script to obtain the new-version VNF; and switching, by an NFV orchestrator, an earlier-version VNF to the new-version VNF after determining that a function test of the new-version VNF on the test network is successful. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, an automated upgrade procedure and upgrade steps for a network functions virtualization application are defined, so that upgrading the network functions virtualization application can be automated.

摘要: A cloud declarative language is used to configure and reconfigure cloud computing environments. The language includes physical and logical topology declarations as well as cloud operations commands, and allows users to declare commands at multiple topology hierarchies. The language may be used to create scripts and sets of scripts that are used to configure cloud stacks and other operational parameters. Scripts may be created through direct editing by cloud designers or with the aid of graphical user interfaces. Scripts may be automatically generated using templates of configurations and requirements and use for rapid prototyping and testing of cloud environments. Scripts may also be used to monitor conformance with specified configurations, and to facilitate deployment of incremental modifications to configurations.

摘要: Generating configuration images and deploying computer components in a computing environment that comprises a shared pool of configurable computing resources may be provided. Configuration templates from a plurality of repositories may be mined and classified. Base templates may be created that represent different service configurations based on the configuration templates classified into classes of different service configurations. For deploying a requested service with specified requirements, a plurality of candidate templates may be created based on the base templates that represent configurations for the requested service and configurations that meet the specified requirements. A target template from the plurality of candidate templates may be selected that most meets the specified requirements. Computer resources for the requested service may be deployed by running the target template.
