    摘要: A mechanical seal includes a rotation ring provided with a vertical surface which is vertical to a central axis line of the rotation ring. A tapered surface includes a diameter on an outer circumferential side which decreases away from the vertical surface. A plurality of split bodies are positioned by sandwiching an outer circumferential side of the rotation ring between a support member that supports a side of the vertical surface and a presser member that presses the tapered surface. An elastic member is disposed between the support member and the vertical surface, so that the vertical surface is supported through the elastic member. A tapered surface is pressed in direct surface contact with an inner circumferential tapered surface of the presser member.

    摘要: A jointless braided sealing ring as well as a method and a special machine for producing such a sealing ring are disclosed. The braided sealing ring adopts a multi-layers braided structure comprising a number of continuously sleeved ring layers arranged from inside to outside. The innermost braided ring layer is used as a core. The tail end of the first braided ring layer (1) is sleeved on the starting end of the first braided ring layer (1) and serves as the starting end of the second braided ring layer (2) to implement continuously braiding without any interruption. The second braided ring layer (2) is sleeved on the first braided ring layer (1) and the third braided ring layer (3) is sleeved on the second braided ring layer (2). The Nth braided ring layer (4) is sleeved on the (N−1)th braided ring layer (5). N braided ring layers have (N−1) continuous intact braided ring layers. The tail end (8) of the outermost braided ring layer is superposed with the starting end (7) of the innermost braided ring layer. Service life and sealing effect of the braided sealing ring are increased. A perimeter-defining ring (6) is provided in the sealing ring to improve the dimensions precision of sealing ring, and avoid that the sealing ring deforms during braiding and trimming.

    摘要: A disposable biomedical rotating filtration system for processing fluids in a closed environment includes a rotor mounted for rotation on a pivot pin, a seal between the rotor and pivot pin, an external permanent magnet drive mechanism, and a star shaped drive element mounted on the rotor for rotating the rotor in response to a magnetic field induced by the permanent magnet of the drive mechanism. The drive element on the rotor is stamped from an inexpensive non-permanent ferromagnetic sheet metal and has a configuration and position in relation to the center of said magnetic field such that said drive element receives sufficient torque for driving said rotor and sufficient seal force is applied on the rotor to provide fluid tight seal between the rotating rotor and the seal. The pivot pin is molded from a hard plastic material such as a polyamide base resin having a low coefficient of friction and good lubriciousness. The pivot pin is irradiated by gamma radiation for sterilization and modifying of the plastic material without degradation or loss of lubricious properties.

    摘要: A seal ring with tapered surfaces is constituted by an inner ring, outer ring and a tightening resilient member. Each of the inner and outer rings is provided with an inner and outer peripheral surfaces and a pair of sealing end surfaces extending between the inner and outer peripheral surfaces. Each of the inner and outer ring is divided in the circumferential direction into two sections. The inner peripheral surface of the outer ring fits the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring, while the outer peripheral surface of the outer ring is surrounded by the resilient member so that the inner and outer rings are resiliently pressed radially inwardly. The end surfaces of the inner and outer rings are arranged flush to form common sealing surfaces. At least one of the common sealing surfaces thus formed constitutes a conical surface so that the axial distance between two common sealing surfaces is varied such that it increases toward the radially outer side. A sealing device is constituted by the seal ring with tapered surfaces having the above-stated construction, and annular surfaces to be sealed which are provided on two members adapted to rotate relatively to each other so as to oppose to each other, the annular surfaces to be sealed forming therebetween an outwardly diverging gap and being adapted to make close contact with the pair of common sealing surfaces of the seal ring. The radially inward pressing force of the resilient member produces an axial sealing force of the seal ring, through relative sliding contact between the conical sealing surface of the seal ring and the annular surface of the aforementioned member contacting therewith.

    摘要: A seal device for a rotary heat-exchanger of a gas turbine is held in bearing contact with each end face of a regenerative rotor of the heat-exchanger to partition a low-pressure exhaust gas passage and a high-pressure air passage from one another and to seal therebetween. The regenerative rotor is rotated across the passages to effect the heat-exchanger between the low-pressure exhaust gas and the high-pressure air. The seal device comprises a bellows having one end thereof secured to a seal member rotatably supporting the regenerative rotor and the other end secured to a flange fast on the inner wall of the rotor housing, and a jacket substantially backing up the bellows to control the shape thereof.

    摘要: The invention is concerned with novel sealing means for a differential-final drive arrangement and with an assembly method therefore. In a differential-final drive arrangement for a vehicle comprising an axle extending from a differential through a first housing and out a hole therein removed from said differential; a final drive within a second housing having gear means driven by spline means on said axle, said second housing being rotatably supported by said first housing; and a wheel integral with said second housing and rotated by said gear means, the invention provides an improved slidable seal between a first compartment defined by said differential and said first housing and a second compartment defined by said second housing. The improved slidable seal comprises a sleeve thrust bearing about the axle within the second housing having a first end in slidable sealing abutting relation with a respective one of the first housing and the gear means and a second end extending towards a respective other of the first housing and the gear means. The improved slidable seal further includes a sleeve thrust member about the axle within the second housing having a first end abutting a respective other of the first housing and the gear means and a second end fitting within the second end of the bearing. Also a part of the improved slidable seal are compression means biasing the bearing axially away from the member and resilient toroidal sealing means compressed between the axle and the bearing.
