    摘要: A multiple glazed insulating unit, especially for an aircraft window, with electromagnetic armor. An insulating multiple glazing unit includes a glazed section provided with at least two superposed panes of mechanically-strong transparent substrate, between which is interposed at least one gap filled with gas. The panes are mounted at their periphery in a seal, by which the glazing unit can be built into a structure designed to enclose a space containing instruments susceptible to being disturbed by an electromagnetic field, and which has an electromagnetic shielding function. The glazed section is provided with at least one continuous electrically-conductive transparent thin layer, and the seal is made conductive at least in part to ensure connection of the electrically-conductive transparent thin layer to the structure. Conductivities of the electrically-conductive transparent thin layer and of the seal are chosen to ensure continuity of the electromagnetic shielding of the structure.

In particular, the anti-surveillance security system of the present invention can be readily configured by connecting a combination of filters to a transparent substrate, whereby the system has a shielding effectiveness_between 22 db-40 db in the frequency range of 30 megahertz-3 gigahertz, an IR transmission at wavelengths between 780 nm and 2500 nm of no more than 50%, and a light transmission less than 1% for wavelengths up to 450 nm.

    摘要: A window wall for shielded enclosures is provided for use in a large opening in a shielded enclosure that preserves the shielding integrity of the shielded enclosure and that is easy to install. The window wall includes a frame having a frame perimeter received within a shielded enclosure window opening in electrical conductive engagement with the shielded enclosure. The frame includes a selected number of horizontal muntins and vertical mullions defining a plurality of clear window openings. A window unit frame is received in each clear window opening supported by and electrically connected to the frame. A pair of spaced apart radio frequency shielding continuous screens span each window opening and are supported by the window unit frame. Each screen is formed of electrically conductive mesh material and is mechanically and electrically connected with the window unit frame, thereby providing continuous electrical contact with the shielded enclosure.

    摘要: A door assembly in a construction for preventing the transition of interference fields, in particular of high-frequency electromagnetic fields, into a space, wherein the contact zone between the door and a stationary structure is sealed by a labyrinth construction which attenuates the transition of interference fields. In prior art constructions, the provision of such labyrinth constructions increases the difficulty of door operation as a result of the high compression force which is required for closing the door as well as the tendency of the pivoting movement of the door to damage the labyrinth construction. In order to overcome this problem, apparatus are provided such that the movement of the door comprises the usual pivoting movement thereof with respect to an axis and, additionally, a substantially linear controlled final path of movement during which a contact preventing the transition of interference fields is produced.

    摘要: A thin-film window for a nuclear instrument comprising a frame ring, a thin film tightly stretched about the frame ring, a clamp ring for securing the thin film about the frame ring in a tightly stretched condition, and securing means such as a weld or glue, for securing the clamp ring to the frame ring. The thin-film window is manufactured by first preparing the frame ring and clamp ring by cleaning and removing stresses on the rings, cooling the frame ring to a temperature below that of the clamp ring, stretching a thin-film over the frame ring, clamping the clamp ring over the thin-film and frame ring while the film is stretched thereover, maintaining the clamp ring over the frame ring until they are at the same temperature, removing the excess film along the outside edges of the rings, and securing the rings together.
