    摘要: An apparatus is provided for decelerating sheets which are to be placed on a stack. The apparatus comprises rotatably driven clamping elements, which are provided with clamping zones that intermittently reach to the feeding plane of the sheet when revolving. The apparatus further includes a mating element which is rotationally disposed on the opposite side of the conveying plane of the sheets such that a sheet can be clamped between the clamping zones and the mating element. The clamping elements are connected to an asymmetrical rotary drive unit while being equipped with ring segment-shaped clamping zones on a section of the circumference thereof. A deflecting device is also provided which deflects the rear edges of the sheet from the feeding plane in a downward direction arranged at a distance from and upstream of the clamping elements in the direction of travel of the sheets.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided for accumulating discrete paper or film objects traveling in a machine direction. A first accumulator element of the apparatus is rotatable about a first axis of rotation. A second accumulator element is disposed in confronting relationship with the first accumulator element and has a first, generally flat surface, and a first arcuate surface. Both of these surfaces are rotatable about the first axis of rotation and the first accumulator element has a first angular position that defines a first gap relative to the second accumulator element for receiving the objects there between. The first accumulator element has a second angular position that defines a second gap relative to the second accumulator element for moving the objects in the machine direction, with the second gap being smaller than the first gap.

An interlocking mechanism brings a driven roller 222 biased by a biasing member into pressure contact with a feeding portion 221c of a driving roller 221 in conjunction with rotation of the driving roller 221. The driving roller 221 includes a non-feeding portion 221d in a circumferential surface thereof. The driven roller 222 is caused to abut on a pressure holder 225 before the driven roller 222 moved in a direction in which the interlocking mechanism brings the driven roller 222 into the pressure contact with the driving roller 221 is brought into the pressure contact with the driving roller 221.

    摘要: A carton feeder for a continuous motion packaging machine utilizes a speed compensation mechanism implemented through a rotating valve assembly and actuation system. The rotating valve assembly provides a vacuum and compression to vacuum cups, for facilitating the transfer and release, respectively, of cartons within the carton feeder. The valve assembly includes a base plate and a rotating port plate. A circumferential position adjustment of the base plate advances or retards timing of the vacuum/compression to the vacuum cups within the carton feeder. A pneumatic cylinder assembly adjusts the circumferential position of the base plate. A speed sensor senses machine speed and sends a machine speed signal to a controller. The controller signals a solenoid responsive to machine speed to extend or retract the pneumatic cylinder assembly, thereby circumferentially adjusting the valve base to advance or retard vacuum timing.

    摘要: A carton feeder for a continuous motion packaging machine includes a speed compensation controller and a solenoid dual valve assembly, which enable the feeder to operate at higher speeds. The dual valve assembly includes a vacuum valve coupled to an air pressure valve which is controlled by an electronic controller. The speed compensation assembly is electronically connected to the valve controller, and includes an encoder driven by the feeder and a programmable limit switch for receiving data from the encoder and transmitting control signals to the valve controller. The method of operation includes detecting the position of the selector and transmitting position data to the limit switch. The limit switch calculates optimum valve actuation timing based upon both programmed information and data from the encoder, and transmits the control signals to the valve controller.
