摘要: A method of operating a flash memory which can be recorded in "byte" o in "word" form, but can only be erased in blocks, is disclosed. A memory optimization algorithm is used where the degree of filling of the individual blocks in the flash memory is determined and compared to a threshold. According to the degree of filling, data are shifted to the end of the memory, or it is determined whether an entire block can be erased, or whether copying can take place into open areas of blocks within the memory so that an entire block can be erased, or whether files can be temporarily stored in areas marked for erasure and reconstructed after the block has been erased, or if files can be overwritten to areas marked for erasure by means of a linkage. In the event that optimization is not possible, a user inquiry may be made.

摘要: A method of managing a speech memory (VMEM) and an assembly therefor are disclosed. To enable a plurality of users (U1, U2, U3, U4) to access the speech memory, the latter is divided into user memory areas (S1, S2, S3, S4) and a common memory area (SALL). By adding a portion (S4') of the common memory area (SALL) to one of the user memory areas (S4') or vice versa, the size of this user memory area is adapted to the memory space requirements (Min4) of the user (U4). The capacity of the speech memory (VMEM) is effectively utilized, since, as far as possible, no free memory space is assigned to the users (U1 to U4) which will not be used by them. The assembly can be used, for example, as a voice mailbox in a telecommunications system.

摘要: A secondary computer is connected to a primary computer via a shared memory. The initial program loader for the secondary computer is stored in a mass memory of the primary computer rather than in a bootstrap memory. The primary computer loads the initial program loader into the shared memory, sends a restart instruction to a central processing unit of the secondary computer, and then controls a memory access logic circuit such that all program memory access instruction are routed to that portion of the shared memory holding the initial program loader until the secondary computer has read out the last instruction of the initial program loader. The central processing unit then sends to the memory access logic circuit an acknowledge signal which causes the latter to route all further program memory access instructions to a program memory of the secondary computer.

摘要: The present application relates to a user/vehicle-identification (ID) by which access rights privileges and or user settings can be associated to a specific user assigned to a specific vehicle (e.g. driver). In particular, the application relates to using a user/vehicle-ID stored in a car key remote control for associating access rights privileges and or user settings which have a relation to the vehicle, identified by the vehicle ID, to the user of the car key remote control. A system for authentication of a user of a vehicle (1400) is described. The system comprises an identification (ID) device (100) adapted to store an user/vehicle ID string, wherein the user/vehicle ID string identifies the user of the vehicle and the associated vehicle (1400); and an authentication device (1200) adapted to receive the user/vehicle ID string from the ID device (100), and to associate access rights, privileges and or user settings to the user of the ID device (100), when the user/vehicle ID has been verified.

摘要: The invention concerns a method for transferring energy between a first unit (1) and a second unit (2), wherein at least one of the units (1, 2) is mobile, as well as a first unit for supporting such energy transfer. The first unit (1) and the second unit (2) have a subscription at a first backend platform (P1) and second backend platform (P1), respectively. The first and the second unit (1,2) comprise a first meter (M1) and a second meter (M2), respectively, for measuring energy exchanged with an external power source and/or an external power consumer. The first unit (1) comprises further a first control box (C1), a switch (Sw1) which allows to interrupt the transfer of energy to the external power consumer and communication means for communicating with the first backend platform (P1). The second unit (2) comprises further a second control box (C2) and communication means for communicating with the second backend platform (P2). The first and second unit (1) are connected by means of a power line (3). A request for transferring energy to the first control box is preferably sent via the power line by the second control box. The first and second backend platform execute an authentication procedure between the first and the second unit. The switch is unbarred by the first control box upon successful execution of the authentication procedure. The second control box sends an amount of the transferred energy measured by the second meter to the first control box. Energy consumption data comprising data about the amount of transferred energy measured by the second meter and energy transfer data comprising data about an amount of exchanged energy measured by the first meter is sent to the second and first backend platform. A consumption clearing procedure between the first and the second unit is executed at the first and second backend platform by means of the received energy consumption data.

摘要: The present invention relates to a push-to-talk server (6) and a method of performing a push-to-talk based communication service for registered users (21, 25 to 28) of a push-to-talk service. A push-to-talk call request is transmitted from a calling terminal (31) to the push-to-talk server (6), the push-to-talk call request requesting the establishment of a half-duplex communication connection to one or more called users (25 to 28) and/or user groups. The push-to-talk server (6) establishes an IP based streaming communication channel between the calling terminal (31) and a speech-to-text converter (74). A push-to-talk voice input is transmitted by said communication channel (91) from the calling terminal to the speech-to-text converter (74). The speech-to-text converter (74) converts the push-to-talk voice input to a text. Then, the push-to-talk sever (6) creates a message (92 to 94) containing the content of said text and transfers the message (92 to 94) to one or more of the called users (25 to 27) and/or user groups.
