The invention further concerns a corresponding device, storage means, and software program therefor.
Abstract:
The invention proposes a method for detecting loss or malfunctions in a meshed electrical distribution network. The method comprises a step of receiving average measured voltage values and average measured current values associated with one or more points of supply within the electrical distribution network, and a step of receiving average measured voltage values and average measured current values associated with a plurality of points of consumption within the electrical distribution network. Furthermore, the method comprises the step of calculating first conductivity parameters based on said received average measured voltage values and average measured current values and the step of receiving further average measured voltage values and average measured current values associated with said points of supply within the electrical distribution network. Still further the method comprises the steps of receiving further measured average voltage values and average current values associated with said points of consumption within the electrical distribution network and analyzing said further received average measured voltages and average measured currents using said calculated conductivity parameters to detect any deviations of measured currents values from calculated currents values with respect to a given point of consumption or point of supply.
Abstract:
A method for transferring energy between first and second units with first and second meters and subscriptions to first and second backend platforms, as well as a first unit for supporting such energy transfer, where the backend platforms execute an authentication procedure and a switch is unbarred by the first control box upon successful execution of the authentication procedure. A second control box sends an amount of the transferred energy measured by the second meter to the first control box energy consumption to data is sent to the backend platforms, and a consumption clearing procedure is executed between the first and the second units at the backend platforms by means of the received energy consumption data.

Abstract:
The invention concerns a method of remote metering of energy consumed and/or inputted by a plurality of energy consuming and/or inputting units (4) of a power grid (5) as well as a device for remote metering. Each unit (4) comprises at least one meter (2) and/or a meter box (1) connected with one or more meters (2) and the meter boxes (1) and/or the meters (2) are connected with at least one backend platform (3) via a communication network. At least two of the group of meter boxes (1), meters (2) and backend platforms (3) communicate with each other by means of a generic bi-directional resource management protocol on top of an IP protocol stack via the communication network and thereby encode and decode data transferred via the resource management protocol according to a predefined extensible specification comprising a functional group for meter information and control.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a management platform for monitoring and managing one or more smart meters. The management platform comprises means for communicating with smart meters and a workflow handler for executing a workflow. A workflow specifies a process for management of the smart meters.
Abstract:
Telecommunication systems including a terminal, a switch and on Internet/Intranet having a memory for storing information blocks at locations defined by addresses, can be made more user-friendly by introducing a detector for detecting speech-recognition/non-speech recognition related parts in control signals originating from the terminal and defining the addresses or n response signals sent from memory to terminal and including said information blocks. A processor is coupled to the detector for routing, in dependence on the detection, routing (parts of) the signals to a server for either conversion of (parts of) the signals or for information purposes.
Abstract:
In telecommunication systems including a terminal and a speech recognizer for vocal commanding, an indication signal originating from the terminal is detected, e.g., a telephone number dialed or a key signal or a vocal signal, or originating from an application located in the terminal or elsewhere in the network and in dependence of the indication signal a capacity parameter for the vocal commanding is adjusted, whereby a flexible capacity parameter is created for adjusting the available bandwidth between terminal and speech recognizer and/or for adjusting a processor capacity of terminal and/or speech recognizer, e.g., a sampling rate or a noise reduction being deactivated, as a result of which name dialing, command and control, and dictation can be done with the highest efficiency.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method of providing a Push-to-Talk (=PTT) service within one or more telecommunication networks (1, 2, 3, 4) by means of a gateway-server (5) which sets up a virtual connection per PTT connection. The virtual connection provides information about the participating terminals (10, 20, 30, 40) of the PTT connection, the service type to reach each terminal (10, 20, 30, 40), and the connection status of each terminal (10, 20, 30, 40). Thus, the gateway-server (5) is capable of providing the PTT service within and/or across different telecommunication networks comprising radio access telecommunication networks (1), fixed wire-line telecommunication networks (2), circuit-switched telecommunication networks (3), and packet-switched telecommunication networks (4).
Abstract:
A method of operating a flash memory which can be recorded in "byte" o in "word" form, but can only be erased in blocks, is disclosed. A memory optimization algorithm is used where the degree of filling of the individual blocks in the flash memory is determined and compared to a threshold. According to the degree of filling, data are shifted to the end of the memory, or it is determined whether an entire block can be erased, or whether copying can take place into open areas of blocks within the memory so that an entire block can be erased, or whether files can be temporarily stored in areas marked for erasure and reconstructed after the block has been erased, or if files can be overwritten to areas marked for erasure by means of a linkage. In the event that optimization is not possible, a user inquiry may be made.
