Abstract:
A detecting mechanism has a sensor for detecting different levels of transmissivity to provide an output signal representative of the transmissivity level detected. The detecting mechanism is provided with circuitry for changing its sensitivity.
Abstract:
A portable radio apparatus includes an antenna, a transceiver body having a receiver on an upper portion thereof and a transmitter on a lower portion thereof, and a mechanism for drawing out the receiver from the body to a side close to an ear of an operator. Also, in a portable radio apparatus including a transceiver body, a receiver provided in the body and an antenna provided on the body, the transceiver body is divided into a first unit including at least one receiver and a second unit coupled with the first unit, and the antenna is projected from the second unit.
Abstract:
The invention provides an opening and closing device for a portable telephone wherein a receiver section can be opened by one touch by depressing a push-button while holding the portable telephone with one hand and can be stopped freely at any angle from a predetermined opening angle and besides, also when the receiver section is in a closed condition, the closed condition of the receiver section can be kept stably.

Abstract:
A portable radio transceiver of the invention includes an antenna base portion, a coil spring for producing a predetermined repulsive force between an antenna base portion and a casing and a hook portion for housing the antenna base portion within a rear surface of the casing when the coil spring is compressed. One end portion of the antenna base portion is constituted with a pin shaped shaft fixedly implanted in the casing and a rotary base portion in the form of a hollow cylinder having an elliptic cross section. The rotary base portion which is movable along an axis of the hollow portion thereof and and rotatable therein is biased by the coil spring in a direction away from the casing. When a communication is to be done, the antenna is rotated to protrude it in a direction away from a user to thereby reduce influence of the user on the antenna.
Abstract:
A cellular portable radiotelephone including a first housing having at least a telephone receiving section, and a second housing slidably and pivotally mounted to the first housing and capable of being housed in the first housing, the second housing having a front surface, a rear surface serving as a slide surface to slide on the first housing, and a key operating section, wherein a display is disposed on the first or second housing, and a telephone transmitting section is disposed on the second housing.
Abstract:
A structure of a diffusing lens for a light emitting diode (LED). The diffusing lens is mounted on, for example, part of the casing of a receiver included in a telephone. A relatively thick plate-like diffusing lens is press fitted in a slot formed in an end portion of the receiver. Implemented by a light transmitting member, the lens transmits light issuing from an LED in a direction perpendicular to the thicknesswise direction thereof while diffusing it in a predetermined direction. Two holes are formed through the lens in the thicknesswise direction, and each receives and retains an LED therein. Two leads extending out from each LED are drawn out from both ends of the associated hole of the lens and connected to a flexible printed circuit board.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an optical film which includes at least a first optically anisotropic layer, and a second optically anisotropic layer, wherein the first optically anisotropic layer satisfies the following Expression (1), the second optically anisotropic layer satisfied the following Expression (2), and a slow axis of the first optically anisotropic layer is orthogonal to a slow axis of the second optically anisotropic layer, 0≦Re(450)/Re(550)≦0.5 Expression (1) 0.95≦Re(450)/Re(550)≦1.05 Expression (2) where Re(λ) represents an in-plane retardation value (unit: nm) of the corresponding optically anisotropic layer measured at a wavelength of λ nm.
Abstract:
A folding mobile telephone includes a 2-axis hinge unit. The end portion of the 2-axis hinge unit is constantly exposed outside the mobile telephone. The exposed portion includes input elements. The input elements can be, for example, a pointing device. The pointing device can be operated regardless of the positions of the housings of the communications terminal. The telephone includes position detection elements for detecting the relative positions of the housings. The control unit can control the operation of the terminal based on the relative positions of the housings. The position detection elements includes a magnet and a magnetic sensor. The input elements can be a fingerprint sensor.
