摘要: A process allows a UE to acquire a System Frame Number (SFN) before accessing a target base station/node during a RACH-less handover. The SFN may be provided to the UE in various ways. For example, the SFN may be provided as part of a handover command message (e.g., RRCReconfiguration) or a master information block (MIB). In this manner, the UE acquires the SFN before accessing the target base station/node, which allows the target base station/node and the UE to effect certain timings for the handover. For example, the target base station/node and the UE may set time bounds in which the handover must occur. As another example, different types of uplink grants may be set.

摘要: A first network node and method therein for handling an operation mode change of a second network node for a communication device in a wireless communication network are disclosed. The communication device is configured with multi-radio dual connectivity (MR-DC) with the first network node having a first cell group and the second network node having a second cell group. The first network node receives (913) a request from the second network node for a change of operation mode and/or a change of configuration of the second network node and determines (914) whether to accept or reject the request for the change of the operation mode and/or a change of configuration. The first network node transmits (915) to the communication device a message including a reconfiguration or command to change the second cell group configuration and/or the operation mode of the second cell group, if it is determined that the change of operation mode of the second cell group and/or change of the second cell group configuration is accepted; or transmits (917) a response to the second network node with an indication indicating a rejection reason, if it is determined to reject the request for the change of the operation mode.

摘要: According to some embodiments, a method for use in a user equipment of performing cell reselection to a cell providing multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) comprises: receiving a system information message comprising an indication of whether one or more carrier frequencies support MBMS carrier type or further enhanced MBMS (FeMBMS) carrier type; selecting, based on a capability of the user equipment and the carrier type of the one or more carrier frequencies, a carrier frequency for cell reselection; and camping on the selected carrier frequency. In particular embodiments, the system information message further comprises, for each of the one or more carrier frequencies, an indication of a percentage (e.g., 100%, 80%, etc.) of available multicast broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) subframes in each radio frame.

The method comprises in a user equipment for a wireless network receiving, from a base station of the wireless network, a first portion of system information comprising an indication of a second portion of system information which is available upon request; and transmitting, to the base station, a first request requesting that the second portion of system information be transmitted to the user equipment. The method further comprises responsive to a determination that the requested second portion of system information has not been received successfully by the user equipment, transmitting, to the base station, a second request for the second portion of system information.
