摘要: Methods and computing systems for sharing content between related devices in a cellular network are described. A first device receives content from an external content source via a wireless connection, and causes presentation of the content on an output device of the first device. The first device retrieves information for one or more related devices that utilize the same telephone number the first device for sending and receiving at least cellular communications via the cellular network. The first device enables sharing of the content with at least one related device of the one or more related devices.

摘要: In some implementations, an access point may receive a request to select an operating channel for a computing device. The access point may determine that a network service provider is associated with the computing device. The access point may determine that at least one neighboring access point is associated with the network service provider. The access point may determine a channel in an unlicensed spectrum that is used by the at least one neighboring access point. The access point may perform a scan of the unlicensed spectrum that excludes the channel used by the at least one neighboring access point and select the operating channel based at least partly on the scan.

摘要: A system and method to determine a type of wireless network that is to be used for an emergency communication session that is initiated at a mobile device. A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) header is modified to introduce an emergency call mode preference (ECMP) field into the header. When a mobile device registers a session with an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), the ECMP field is populated by the service provider with information that conveys the preferred network to use when an emergency communication session is initiated by a user of the mobile device. In the event of a subsequent request to start an emergency communication session using the mobile device, the mobile device utilizes the preferred network to establish communication.

摘要: An apparatus, method, and system disclosed herein are directed to a user equipment (UE) capable of dynamically selecting a telecommunication network for running an application using edge-computing capability of the telecommunication network. A subscriber identity module (SIM), such as an eSIM, may be provisioned for a plurality of preferred telecommunication networks of a multi-network mobile edge computing (MEC) system where each network of the plurality of preferred telecommunication networks meets an edge-computing requirement of the application. A workload associated with the application may be distributed among edge-computing nodes of a first network of the plurality of preferred telecommunication networks. Upon detecting a degradation in a service associated with running the application on the first network, running of the application may be switched to a second network of the plurality of preferred telecommunication networks and the workload may be distributed among edge-computing nodes of the second network.

摘要: The disclosed technology provides systems and methods for dynamically locking and unlocking wireless communication devices by enforcing updateable subscriber identity module (SIM) and public land mobile network (PLMN) policy information. A device receives policy information from a policy server, compares the policy information against information in the SIM and dynamically updates a lock state of the device based on the policy information, potentially overriding a factory lock state of the device. The policy information can include a whitelist indicating the SIMs that the device can accept. The device can also obtain and apply branding information when the SIM information matches the received policy information, and block access to certain device functionality when the SIM information does not match the policy information.

The QoS-sensitive services are determined to be delivered over the at least one pooled resource. In addition, delivery of the QoS-sensitive services is caused over the at least one pooled resource.

摘要: The disclosed technology provides a system for scanning frequency channels that reduces the number of frequency channels scanned from among all the possible frequency channels that a wireless communication device can operate on. The wireless communication device uses historical data on last successful connection together with device data metrics from the last successful connection to determine a probability of successful connection for each of the potential frequency channels. The wireless communication device then ranks the probability associated with each frequency channel to determine a frequency scanning order that results in fewer frequencies being scanned before an appropriate channel is identified.

摘要: Systems, methods, and devices can be used to perform service-aware utilization of shared wireless resources. In various instances, a quality metric (e.g., a Bit Error Rate (BER)) of a shared wireless resource is determined. Requested services can be provided based at least partly on the quality metric and the type of services being requested. For example, when the quality metric exceeds a threshold and the requested services are for Quality of Service (QoS)-sensitive services (e.g., Guaranteed Bit Rate (GBR) services), the services can be provided at least partially via a licensed wireless resource. However, when the quality metric does not exceed the threshold, and/or the requested services are for non-QoS-sensitive services (e.g., non-GBR services), the services can be provided via the shared wireless resource.
