    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present disclosure further relates to a method by a session management function (SMF) in a network including a session that is established via a first user plane function (UPF). The method includes determining whether to change the first UPF to a second UPF, and transmitting, to a terminal via an access and mobility function (AMF), a first message including a maintain time of the session established via the first UPF, when the first UPF needs to be changed.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). Provided are a method and apparatus for reducing the page load time in a wireless communication system. The method for page loading in a mobile terminal may include: selecting, when a page is visited, a candidate page to be pre-inspected with respect to the page; performing pre-inspection of the candidate page and determining types of objects associated with the candidate page; generating tree information for the candidate page based on a result of the determination; and computing the loading time of the candidate page based on the tree information and determining download priorities of objects that are to be downloaded when the candidate page is visited.

    Abstract: A method of a visited session management function (V-SMF) supporting an edge computing (EC) service for a roaming user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving a first request message for protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment of the roaming UE from an access and mobility management function (AMF), the first request message including a first indication indicating supportability of session breakout (SBO) of a home routed (HR) roaming session in a visited network, and a session management policy indication for supporting the EC service through HR roaming, selecting a visited policy control function (V-PCF) providing an SBO policy for supporting the EC service for the HR roaming session according to the first request message, and transmitting a second request message requesting the EC service through the HR roaming session to the V-PCF, the second request message including an SBO requesting indication for the HR roaming session.
