Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The UE may be configured to transmit a message indicating an identifier (ID) associated with an application to a first edge computing system; receive first information associated with the application in response to transmitting the message, the first information indicating whether at least one second edge computing system configured to provide the application is accessible through at least one cell; and determine a set of cells through which the at least one second edge computing system is accessible based on the first information.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network device may determine that a ping-pong condition is satisfied with regard to a Long Term Evolution (LTE) radio access technology (RAT) and a New Radio (NR) RAT. The network device may configure a dual connectivity mode for the UE based at least in part on the ping-pong condition being satisfied. The network device may cause the UE to deprioritize the NR RAT based at least in part on the ping-pong condition being satisfied. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may establish a wireless communication link with a base station in accordance with a radio access technology (RAT), and an internet connection with the base station. The UE may identify a lack of support by a network that includes the base station for a type of voice calls associated with the RAT. The UE may transmit a discovery query for a gateway to a core network, and the UE may establish a connection with the gateway via the internet connection. The UE may initiate a voice call via a call path from the UE to the core network, where the call path may include the wireless communications link with the base station in accordance with the RAT and also may include the internet connection with the gateway.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for wireless communications that support fast user equipment (UE) handover between base stations. A UE may receive, from a source base station, a configuration for reference signal transmission at a set of uplink transmit power levels. The UE may transmit multiple uplink reference signal repetitions based on the configuration. The source base station may transmit a request message to a target base station to measure the multiple uplink reference signal repetitions. The target base station may select an uplink reference signal and measure a transmit power correction. The target base station may transmit an indication to the source base station of the selection and transmit power correction. The source base station may evaluate the indications and select the target base station. The source base station may forward to the indicated contents, and the UE may switch and synchronize with the target base station.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for routing internet protocol (IP) and non-IP packets in cellular vehicle-to-everything devices that can be transmitted over the air via cellular or side-link device-to-device (D2D) communication systems without the need for the applications (e.g., automotive applications) to modify its operations. Specifically, an application (automotive application or web browser) may use default Application Programming Interface (API) that is typically used for regular cellular communication without modifying its operations to differentiate between IP and non-IP packets. Instead, in accordance with present disclosure, logical data paths may be dynamically adjusted to map services associated with the packets with an appropriate media access control (MAC) flow such that the modem receiving the packet may process and route the packet to target end-destination.

Abstract: A method is provided. The method may be performed by a UE. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first edge application server (EAS) discovery message from an application client that is external to the UE. The UE may transmit a second EAS discovery message to an edge enabler server (EES) based at least in part on the first EAS discovery message. The UE may receive, from the EES, an EAS response message. The EAS response message may indicate a failure of a discovery request associated with the application client or the EAS response message may indicate an EAS associated with the application client. The UE may transmit an indication of the failure of the discovery request or an indication of the EAS to the application client. Numerous other aspects are described.
