    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide apparatus, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for enhancing reliability of voice over new radio (VONR) in dual connectivity (DC) by duplicating quality of service (QoS) flow using motion metrics measured at the user equipment (UE). At a high level, the UE may detect a motion metric, such as rotation or displacement, and determine whether the detected motion metric exceeds a threshold. When the motion metric exceeds the threshold, the UE requests the network to duplicate the QoS flow in response to the determination.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for configuring an image data transfer time for sending image data from a processor to a display panel along a display path. For example, one disclosed method includes receiving, by the processor from the display panel, a display panel refresh interval indication indicating a display panel refresh interval of the display panel, the display panel refresh interval of the display panel corresponding to a time duration of a display period of the display panel. According to the method, the display panel is configured to refresh each display period. The image data transfer time is computed based on the display panel refresh interval. One or more components of the display path are configured to support the computed image data transfer time.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a traffic descriptor that includes a character string corresponding to an application of the UE. In some cases, the character string may be encoded to represent a sequence of characters in the character string to index or match applications to different network slices for communications for the UE. For example, the character string may be encoded using American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) encoding. After receiving and decoding the encoded traffic descriptor, the UE may identify a matching network slice for the application corresponding to the character string of the traffic descriptor. Subsequently, the UE may attempt to establish a connection with the matching network slice for communications for the application and may communicate with the matching network slice for the application based on a successful establishment of the connection.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for delaying a DSI clock change until there is no new frame update, so that a smoother user interface may be perceived. With more specificity, an apparatus may receive a request to change a speed of a clock for displaying a frame. After receiving the request, the apparatus may determine whether two consecutive frames (e.g., a current frame and a prior frame) have a different layer configuration. If so, the request to change the speed of the clock may be delayed until a new set of two consecutive frames are identified with a same layer configuration or until the delay period reaches a timeout limit.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for reducing a DPU transfer time to compensate for a delayed GPU render time. After completion of rendering a second frame that follows a first frame, a frame processor determines whether the first frame is currently transferring to a display panel or has already been transferred to the display panel. At least one clock is used with a first set of clock speeds when the first frame is determined to be currently transferring and used with a second set of clock speeds when the first frame is determined to have already been transferred, the second set of clock speeds being faster than the first set of clock speeds. After completion of the transfer of the first frame, the second frame is transferred based on the set of clock speeds.
