    Abstract: Inter-cell mobility across serving and non-serving cells based on layer 3 measurements is accomplished at the cost of increased delay. Inter-cell mobility across serving and non-serving cells based on layer 1 measurements minimized delay. A user equipment (UE) apparatus that is served by a serving cell of a base station receives, from the serving cell, a configuration to perform layer 1 (L1) measurements based on one or more reference signals from a non-serving cell. The UE also receives the one or more reference signals from the non-serving cell. The UE performs the L1 measurements on the one or more reference signals received from the non-serving cell based on the configuration received from the base station. The UE may perform the L1 measurements on a synchronization signal block (SSB), a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS), or a positioning reference signal (PRS) from the non-serving cell.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating using power control parameters for multiple transmitter receiver point (mTRP) physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) repetition. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration indicating at least a first SRS resource set and at least a second SRS resource set, receiving downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a first set of one or more PUSCH repetitions to a first TRP and a second set of one or more PUSCH repetitions to a second TRP, and transmitting the first and second sets of PUSCH repetitions using at least one of a first set of default power control parameters or a second set of default power control parameters.

    Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication includes a memory and one or more processors coupled to the memory. The one or more processors are configured to determine a plurality of pre-coders available for uplink transmissions and to select a particular pre-coder from among the plurality of pre-coders. The one or more processors are further configured to initiate encoding of an uplink signal based on the particular pre-coder to generate a pre-coded uplink signal. The pre-coded uplink signal has one or more characteristics that enable a base station to identify the particular pre-coder. The one or more processors are further configured to initiate transmission of the pre-coded uplink signal.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, indications of capability levels of the UE. Each capability level of the UE may correspond to a respective beam group supported by the UE in a UE cooperation mode. The UE may include sets of antenna components at the UE or distributed across the UE and on or more other devices in the UE cooperation mode. Each set of antenna components may form the respective beam groups. The base station may receive the capability levels of the UE and select an activated capability level for the UE from the reported capability levels. The base station may signal the activated capability level to the UE and perform communications with the UE according to the activated capability level and the corresponding beam group.

    Abstract: One innovative aspect of the subject matter described in this disclosure can be implemented in a method for wireless communication. The method includes determining a configuration of reference signal (RS) resources to be used by a user-equipment (UE) to perform beam measurements, transmitting, to the UE, an indication of the configuration of the RS resources, and receiving, from the UE, a report indicating a plurality of RS resource indicators based on the beam measurements, each of the RS resource indicators being associated with one of the RS resources. In some aspects, the BS selects a subset of the RS resources based on the report from the UE, transmits, to the UE, an indication to provide channel measurement information for the subset of the RS resources, and receives a report including the channel measurement information from the UE. The BS may also perform joint precoding of signals for transmission via the RS resources based on the channel measurement information.

In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may support multiple communications schemes, including a time division multiplexing (TDM) scheme, a frequency division multiplexing (FDM) scheme, a spatial division multiplexing (SDM) scheme, and a single transmission/reception point (sTRP) scheme. The UE may receive control signaling that indicates the multiple communications schemes and downlink control information (DCI) that schedules an uplink data message. The DCI may indicate one or more sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets associated with the uplink data message. The UE may transmit the uplink data message in accordance with a switching arrangement for switching between the communications schemes. The switching arrangement may be indicated for the uplink data message by one or more of the control signaling, the DCI, or the one or more SRS resource sets.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) detects beam failure associated with a transmission/reception point (TRP) of a plurality of TRPs transmitting to the UE. Each TRP is associated with separate Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resources for beam failure recovery (BFR). The UE applies, in response to detecting, a BFR procedure across PUCCH resources of the TRPs. In some aspects, the procedure is described by a single set of parameters/variable (s) across the PUCCH resources. Further, each of a plurality of TRPs transmits to a UE on a beam. A first of the TRPs receives, from the UE, a scheduling request (SR) in BFR PUCCH resources. The SR indicates that an uplink grant is requested by the UE to transmit beam failure information for at least one failed beam of the TRPs. The SR is a result of a single BFR procedure applied by the UE across the PUCCH resources of the TRPs.
