Abstract:
In an embodiment, an apparatus (e.g., eNB) pages UEs on a shared communication. The apparatus obtains paging message(s) for transmission to UEs with different coverage levels. The apparatus transmits an extended common ePDCCH, followed by a paging ePDCCH, followed by repetitive transmissions of the paging message(s) over a plurality of PDSCH subframes. In a further embodiment, the apparatus obtains first and second sets of paging messages for transmission to different paging groups. The apparatus establishes non-overlapping POWs for the first and second paging groups to avoid a paging ePDCCH collision.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for communication comprise aspects that include performing a power management procedure for configuring a subset of network entities to receive one or more of downlink signal measurements and/or one or more uplink signal measurements. The methods and apparatus further comprise aspects that include storing the one or more one or more of downlink signal measurements and/or one or more uplink signal measurements associated with the subset of network entities at a database for managing transmit power at the subset of network entities. Moreover, the methods and apparatus comprise aspects that include adjusting a transmit power value of at least one of the subset of network entities from a first transmit power value to a second transmit power value based at least in part on the one or more of downlink signal measurements and/or one or more uplink signal measurements.
Abstract:
A method for wireless communications includes determining a time division duplex (TDD) configuration of a non-serving network. The method also includes detecting interference from the non-serving network based at least in part on the TDD configuration of the non-serving network. The method further includes signaling an eNodeB of the interference based at least in part on the detecting.
Abstract:
Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate constructing unitary matrices that may be utilized in linear precoding for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communication systems. Each unitary matrix may be generated by combining (e.g., multiplying) a diagonal matrix with a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) matrix. The unitary matrices may be utilized to provide feedback related to a channel and/or control transmission over a channel based upon obtained feedback.

Abstract:
Disclosed are systems and methods for selecting an operating channel for a cellular network to reduce interference to a wireless local area network (WLAN) operated by a small cell comprising a WLAN access point and a cellular network modem. The small cell performs a channel scan of available channels, determines whether or not there is a clean channel to be the operating channel for the cellular network based on the channel scan, wherein a clean channel comprises a channel that interferes with the WLAN less than a WLAN interference threshold, and selects the clean channel as the operating channel for the cellular network based on the clean channel being available or turns off the cellular network based on no clean channel being available.
Abstract:
Techniques for a channel reservation signal design with a new radio (NR) physical downlink control channel waveform are provided. A method for wireless communication includes determining one or more orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols to transmit channel reservation signals, and determining a plurality of resources available for transmitting the channel reservation signals during the OFDM symbol(s). The method further includes selecting one set of resources within a plurality of resources to transmit a channel reservation signal, and transmitting the channel reservation signal in the selected set of resources to reserve a portion of spectrum for communication. Another method for wireless communication includes determining OFDM symbol(s) to monitor for channel reservation signals, determining a plurality of resources available for monitoring the channel reservation signals during the OFDM symbol(s), and monitoring for one or more channel reservation signals transmitted in a set of resources within the plurality of resources.
Abstract:
In an embodiment, an AT monitors a DMTC window of a shared communication medium while refraining from performing any AUL transmissions. The AT selectively transmits one or more AUL transmissions based on the monitoring (e.g., in response to DRS detection, either in one or more subframes of the DMTC window or outside of the DMTC window). In a further embodiment, the AT establishes different LBT contention windows for use during and outside of POWs and/or DMTC windows. In a further embodiment, the AT receives an AUL disable signal instructing the AT to disable AUL transmissions, and the AT refrains from performing one or more AUL transmissions on the shared communication medium in response to the AUL disable signal.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multi-stage channel reservation signals for direction transmission and reception. According to certain aspects, a method of wireless communication by a cell is provided. The method generally includes determining a portion of a shared spectrum for at least one of sending or receiving a transmission and transmitting a plurality of channel reservation signals associated with a plurality of beams to reserve the portion of the shared spectrum.
