Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration signal indicating one or more reference signal resource sets, the one or more reference signal resource sets comprising at least a first subset of reference signal resources associated with a first reference signal switching configuration and a second subset of reference signal resources associated with a second reference signal switching configuration. The UE may receive a trigger signal activating at least the first reference signal switching configuration or the second reference signal switching configuration. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the trigger signal, reference signals according to the first subset of reference signal resources or second subset of reference signal resources.

One example method, performed by a base station, generally includes determining, based on one or more conditions, an exact frequency location of one channel of one or more channels to perform narrowband communications with a user equipment. The method further includes communicating with the UE, based at least in part on the exact frequency location of the one channel.

Abstract: A method of wireless communications by a receiving sidelink user equipment includes detecting a lite sidelink synchronization signal (SL-SS) transmitted by a transmitting sidelink UE. The lite SL-SS may have a pattern with a reduced number of physical sidelink broadcast channel (PSBCH) symbols. The method also includes transmitting a demand requesting additional SL-SSs from the transmitting sidelink UE on indicated resources. Another method includes receiving a demand for additional sidelink synchronization signals (SL-SSs) from a receiving sidelink UE. This method further includes transmitting the additional SL-SSs in response to the demand.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for TDRA-based HARQ-ACK feedback generation. In aspects, a UE and a base station may determine that at least one TDRA candidate of a set of TDRA candidates for a PDSCH transmitted from a base station has more than one possible location within a slot. Based on the determination that the at least one TDRA candidate has more than one possible location within the slot, the UE may generate and transmit corresponding HARQ-ACK feedback to the base station, which may decode the HARQ-ACK feedback.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, a base station, and a user equipment (UE) for wireless communication are provided to reduce the retransmission latency for URLLC communications. Upon receiving a downlink data transmission, a UE waits until it completes decoding of the received downlink data transmission before it can send an ACK/NAK report on the decoded downlink data transmission. In case of a decoding failure, the base station cannot start retransmission until the UE finishes the decoding of the downlink data transmission and sends the ACK/NAK report and until the base station finishes decoding of an NAK in the ACK/NAK report. This considerable retransmission latency may not meet stringent latency requirements of some URLLC applications. A two-stage ACK/NAK reporting is disclosed to reduce the retransmission latency where the UE sends an early ACK/NAK report upon partially completing the decoding of the downlink data transmission.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating a serving cell dormancy indication field and acknowledgement. In some implementations, a wireless communication device (e.g., user equipment), may detect a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a secondary cell (Scell) dormancy indication field. The user equipment can change states from an initial state to another state (e.g., a dormancy-like state to a non-dormancy like state) based on detecting Scell indicator field in the PDCCH. The user equipment may also transmit a hybrid-ARQ acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) in response to the detecting the PDCCH with the Scell dormancy indication field. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
