    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating, by a user equipment (UE), over multiple slices. A method that may be performed by the UE includes transmitting, from an operating system (OS) to a modem, an indication of a start network request originating from an application, the transmitting of the indication based on a determination that a traffic descriptor associated with the application is a non-default descriptor. The method may also include determining one or more parameters for establishing a new network connection for the application, the one or more parameters determined based on a routing policy that provides mapping between the traffic descriptor and the one or more parameters.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a cellular modem may transmit, to an applications processor, an indication to use a non-Third Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) interworking function (N3IWF) for non-access stratum (NAS) signaling. Accordingly, the cellular modem may establish a first virtual interface with the applications processor. The cellular modem may further perform an Internet Key Exchange (IKE) procedure with a core network using the first virtual interface and the N3IWF and transmit a key generated during the IKE procedure to the applications processor. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An access and mobility management function (AMF) may register a configuration of one or more RAN entities to a network repository function (NRF). The AMF may register information associated with a device with a UDM. A network data analytics function (NWDAF) may perform RAN discovery via the NRF, the UDM, or both. The NWDAF may receive an analytics request from a device, and the NWDAF may query the NRF, the UDM, or both for information about one or more targets of the analytics request, and the NWDAF may receive such information from the NRF, the UDM, or both. The NWDAF may transmit a data collection request to the RAN and the NWDAF may receive data back from the RAN.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a sensing configuration associated with a sensing mode, the sensing configuration indicating one or more parameter values that the UE is to use to perform sensing of objects within a detectable range of the UE, and the sensing configurating further indicating a format for providing a sensing report according to the sensing mode. In an aspect, a core network device may perform a first network registration with a first wireless device using a first subscription, wherein performing the first network registration includes associating a paging reference identifier with the first subscription.     Abstract: Various techniques and approaches described herein may be applied to control congestion at a session management (SM) function (SMF) based on at least one back-off timer maintained at a user equipment (UE). In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE may be configured to establish a protocol data unit (PDU) session with a SMF. The UE may be configured to determine whether a back-off timer associated with the PDU session is terminated. The UE may refrain from sending, to the SMF, data over a control plane associated with the PDU session when the back-off timer is unterminated. The UE may send, to the SMF, the data over the control plane associated with the PDU session when the back-off timer is terminated.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for service priority information for multi-SIM user equipment (UE) paging. An exemplary method generally includes communicating with a first network using a first set of credentials, wherein the UE includes a second set of credentials associated with a second network; receiving a paging message for an information transmission in the second network, wherein the paging message includes service priority information corresponding to the information transmission; determining, from the service priority information, a service priority value corresponding to the information transmission based, at least in part, on policy configuration information; determining whether to establish a connection in the second network in response to the paging message based, at least in part, on the service priority value; and taking one or more actions based, at least in part, on the determination.
