Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may identify a bearer (e.g., a default bearer) and request establishment of a second bearer (e.g., a high priority bearer) for use in streaming downlink data from, for example, an application server. The UE may determine a status of a playout buffer and select the first bearer or the second bearer for use in streaming the downlink data associated with the application based on the status of the playout buffer. For example, the first bearer may be used be used by default, and the second bearer may be selected if the amount of data in the playout buffer does not satisfy (e.g., is below) a threshold. In some cases, each bearer may be associated with a transmission control protocol (TCP) port associated with a TCP connection. In some cases, each bearer may be associated with different Internet protocol (IP) address.

Abstract: Techniques are described for managing secure content transmissions in a content delivery network (CDN). A method for handling content requests at an edge node device of a CDN includes receiving a request to access content of a website from a user equipment (UE) over a wireless network; obtaining, in response to receiving the request, an authentication certificate for the website from a key server by providing an authentication certificate of the edge node device to the key server; and establishing a secure connection with the UE based at least in part on the authentication certificate. A method for wireless communication at a UE includes generating a request to access content of a website; processing the request at a modem, the processing including associating mobile CDN content delivery acceleration information with the request; and transmitting the request and the associated mobile CDN content delivery acceleration information to a network access device.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). In one aspect, the UE is configured to select, by a user equipment (UE), a list of synchronization signal block (SSB) frequencies included in at least one message as a selected list of SSB frequencies. The UE is further configured to determine, based on whether a first frequency included in the selected list of SSB frequencies is an overlapping carrier or a non-overlapping carrier, whether to perform a new radio (NR) early measurement operation for the first frequency. The UE is also configured to identify a SSB-based measurement timing configuration (SMTC) based on a determination to perform the NR early measurement operation for the first frequency, and to initiate the NR early measurement operation for the first frequency using the identified SMTC.

A user equipment (UE) may identify that the UE is operating in a dual-connectivity configuration with a master node (MN) and a secondary node (SN). The UE may receive at least one request that the UE report MDT measurements. The UE may perform a first portion of measurements associated with the first base station and perform a second portion of measurements associated with the second base station. The UE may perform the measurements while the UE is operating in the dual-connectivity configuration. The UE may transmit one or more reports including information indicative of the first portion of measurements, information indicative of the second portion of measurements, or both.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) in a dual connectivity configuration with a master node and a secondary node may support blind resume for secondary node communications. For example, a master node may use radio resource control (RRC) signaling to indicate multiple secondary cell group (SCG) configurations to a UE for blind resume. The UE may support both UE based and network based blind resume techniques based on the indicated SCG configurations. Network based blind resume may include the network indicating to the UE which SCG configuration to use for resuming communications. The UE based blind resume may include the UE conducting measurements on a set of stored SCG configurations to determine which SCG configuration to use for resuming communications and applying the SCG configuration before receiving a resume indication from the base station.

Abstract: Inform a master node about the feasible of secondary node cells during resumption of dual connectivity may require a large message. Additionally, the message may need to be encrypted. A solution to overcome the size and security limitation is to report a short identifier (or index) which is only shared between the UE and the MN. Accordingly, an apparatus, e.g., a UE, may be configured to receive, from a master node, a configuration comprising a mapping of cell identities for a plurality of secondary cells for reporting SN measurements and transmitting an SN report comprising measurements for at least a subset of the plurality of secondary cells using the mapping of cell identities. The apparatus may be configured to receive, from a first master node, a configuration for MN-DC, enter an inactive state or an idle state, and resume a connected state with a second master node.
