Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a set of code blocks to multiple user equipments (UEs). The base station may receive feedback pertaining to reception of each of the set of code blocks at each of the multiple UEs. The base station may generate, based on the feedback, a retransmission message that includes encoded data representative of a subset of code blocks of the set of code blocks and additional redundancy with respect to the subset of code blocks. The multiple UEs may receive the retransmission message and extract a portion corresponding the set of code blocks that were previously unsuccessfully decoded. The UEs may combine the portion of the set of code blocks with the unsuccessfully decoded code blocks to create an updated combined versions of the code blocks. The UEs may decode the combined versions of the code blocks.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may precode communications with a precoding configured to improve non-linearity (NL). Some aspects more specifically relate to a user equipment (UE) obtaining power amplifier (PA) NL coefficients associated with NL of PAs of a network node. The UE may transmit an indication of the PA NL coefficients to the network node, which may use the indication to select precoding configured to improve reception of communications transmitted with PA NL or to improve decoding of communications transmitted using the precoding.

Abstract: The described techniques may support multi-rank sidelink communications that may be reduced to single rank communications if failure to decode the multi-rank sidelink communications occurs. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first message including first data using a first precoding vector applied for a first layer and a second precoding vector applied for a second layer. If the first message is not decoded successfully, the UE may transmit a second message including second data using a third precoding vector applied for the first layer and a fourth precoding vector applied for the second layer, where the second data is derived from the first data, the third precoding vector is derived from the second precoding vector, and the fourth precoding vector is derived from the first precoding vector. The second message may effectively reduce a rank of the first message when the channel is rank deficient.

Abstract: User equipments (UEs) may be configured to perform channel occupancy information multi-access reporting. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a sidelink configuration message identifying the first UE and one or more other UEs as members of a multicast group and a resource to be used for sidelink communications amongst the multicast group, and receive channel occupancy information (COI) from at least one of the one or more UEs within the multicast group, the COI indicating an occupied condition of the resource determined by the at least one of the one or more UEs during a sensing operation performed with respect to the resource. Further, the UE may select a period of time to transmit a sidelink communication based at least in part on the COI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques support blind common phase error (CPE) and residual carrier frequency offset mitigation. Generally, the described techniques provide for blind CPE mitigation at a receiving device without a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) associated with less overhead and improved performance as compared to use of a PTRS to mitigate CPE. A receiving device may receive a shared channel message in a scheduled shared channel allocation in accordance with a PTRS configuration that omits a PTRS allocation based on a capability of the receiving device to apply blind CPE mitigation for shared channel receptions. In some examples, with a single DMRS symbol allocation, blind CPE mitigation for each subsequent data symbol of a shared channel message may be based on the blind CPE estimation for the previous symbol, which may enable robust mitigation of a residual carrier frequency offset.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits may be appended to a set of information bits on a per-group basis prior to encoding using an error correcting code. The amount of CRC bits appended to each group of information bits may be based on the priority of the group of information bits. For example, the priority may be based on the type of information conveyed by the group of information bits. For example, for a video stream, information bits conveying low frequency information may have a higher priority than information bits conveying high frequency information, as the low frequency bits may be more important to user perception/experience of the video. The transmitting device and the receiving device may negotiate the CRC configuration (e.g., the CRC bits per-group and the locations of the groups) so that the receiving device can verify the information bits.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication that a downlink communication is to be transmitted having tone reservation applied to one or more subcarriers of a downlink channel based at least in part on the downlink channel, the one or more subcarriers having indices associated with a set of verification bits. The UE may decode the downlink communication based at least in part on the tone reservation being applied to the one or more subcarriers and based at least in part on the set of verification bits. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for non-linearity estimation techniques for digital post distortion (DPoD) in a wireless system. In some aspects, a first wireless device may estimate a power amplifier (PA) non-linearity associated with a second wireless device using select signaling from the second wireless device. For example, the first wireless device may use a received signal to estimate the PA non-linearity if a dynamic power range associated with the signal triggers the estimation of the PA non-linearity (such as if the dynamic power range associated with the signal satisfies, or is expected to satisfy, a threshold dynamic power range). If the dynamic power range of the signal triggers the estimation of the PA non-linearity, the first wireless device may introduce DPoD to signaling received from the second wireless device in accordance with the estimation of the PA non-linearity.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication of a tolerance for interference associated with peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR) signaling, the PAPR signaling including one or more of space frequency multi-user (SFMU) signaling or tone reservation signaling. The UE may receive, via a downlink channel, a downlink communication having the PAPR signaling applied to subcarriers of the downlink channel based at least in part on the indication of the tolerance for interference. Numerous other aspects are described.
