Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for an ML model training procedure. A network entity may receive a trigger to activate an ML model training procedure based on at least one of an indication from an ML model repository or a protocol of the network entity. The network entity may transmit an ML model training request to activate the ML model training at one or more nodes. The one or more nodes may be associated with a RAN that may transmit, based on receiving the ML model training request, ML model training results indicative of a trained ML model. In aspects, an apparatus, such as a UE, may train the ML model based on an ML model training configuration received from the RAN, and transmit an ML model training report indicative of the trained ML model.

Abstract: Various techniques are proposed to enhance or expand the capabilities or usage of buffer status request (BSR) and scheduling request (SR) in new radio (NR) applications. In an implementation, techniques are proposed to extend the SR in long term evolution (LTE) baseline with additional information to help a base station (e.g., gNB) schedule faster and more efficiently. Moreover, a new BSR triggering condition is proposed to report new data based on particular events instead of being time-based. Modifications being proposed to both BSR and SR can be customized for different numerologies/transmission time intervals (TTIs). Modifications being proposed to SR can also be used to indicate a user equipment (UE) new beam selection after recovering from a beam failure.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may provide information identifying a band combination capability for carrier aggregation during a handover of the UE, wherein the band combination capability identifies a plurality of bands or carriers; and perform the handover based at least in part on the information identifying the band combination capability, wherein at least one first band or carrier, of the plurality of bands or carriers, is used for a source base station of the handover and at least one second band or carrier, of the plurality of bands or carriers, is used for a target base station of the handover. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to dual connectivity reporting. In one example, a dual connectivity communication is established, which includes a communication with a master node according to a first radio access technology (RAT), and a communication with a secondary node according to a second RAT. A change in measurement capability is then detected, and subsequently reported to the master node and/or secondary node. In another example, a scheduling entity establishes a first or second communication of a dual connectivity communication with a scheduled entity. The first communication is established according to a first RAT when operating as a master node, and the second communication is established according to a second RAT when operating as a secondary node. An indication is then received from the scheduled entity of a change in measurement capability, and the first and/or second communications are reconfigured in response to the change in measurement capability.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for component carrier and/or transport block decoding order indication to reduce packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) reordering. For example, the method generally includes generating an ordered sequence of packets associated with a plurality of transport blocks for transmission to a receiving device. The method includes providing an indication to the receiving device of the ordered sequence of packets associated with the plurality of transport blocks. The method includes transmitting the plurality of transport blocks to the receiving device. The receiving device decodes the plurality of transport blocks in accordance with the indication.
