Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for sidelink group coordination for group-specific synchronization reference are provided. For example, a method can include determining, by a user equipment, whether a first condition is met for coordination on group synchronization reference for a group of user equipment. The method can also include determining, by the user equipment, whether a second condition is met to act as group synchronization reference user equipment for the group. The method can further include transmitting, by the user equipment, a group synchronization reference signal when determined to act as the group synchronization reference user equipment. The method can additionally include performing, by the user equipment, a reduced synchronization search when determined not to act as the group synchronization reference user equipment.

Abstract: There are provided measures for enabling/realizing flexible and adaptive QoS monitoring for unicast/groupcast over sidelink communication, which may preferably be capable of enhancing support of unicast/groupcast services over sidelink communication. Such measures exemplarily comprise obtaining a request for QoS monitoring for unicast/groupcast over sidelink communication with a specified quality-of-service profile, which indicates at least one target QoS metric to be monitored, determining a QoS monitoring procedure, wherein a scheme for enforcing QoS monitoring over sidelink communication in collaboration with at least one unicast/groupcast receiving-side device is decided, and performing the QoS monitoring procedure, wherein QoS monitoring messages are exchanged with the at least one unicast/groupcast receiving-side device over the sidelink communication with the specified QoS profile in accordance with the decided scheme and the at least one target quality-of-service metric is derived based thereon.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) selects first and second radio resources from respective first and second pools of radio resources. In one example these are primarily allocated for contention-free and scheduling-based channel access, respectively. Content to duplicate in parallel communications is selected based at least on a characteristic of uplink data waiting to be sent (such as size) and/or on the selected first and second radio resources (such as timing difference between them). The UE transmits the selected content on each of the selected first and second radio resources. In the examples the content to duplicate was selected from among the uplink data to send and a scheduling request message. In various embodiments one of these transmissions indicates it's a duplicate, and the duplicated scheduling request message is transmitted on the first resource with the uplink data. These teachings are particularly useful for URLLC data.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for supporting precision timing protocol (PTP) based time sensitive network (TSN) applications are provided. One method includes configuring, by a network node, a user equipment connection and user contexts for an industrial automation and control (IAC) system or configuring at least one time synchronized radio bearer for a user equipment. The method may also include determining synchronization configuration on the at least one time synchronized radio bearer for the industrial automation and control (IAC) system, and distributing the synchronization configuration periodically or on a need basis to one or more serving network nodes for the industrial automation and control (IAC) system.

Abstract: When there is a role switch between a first apparatus acting as a relay node towards a wireless network for one or more second apparatuses acting as remote nodes a relay context used by the first apparatus towards the wireless network is communicated to a second apparatus using sidelink communication. After that the first apparatus starts to act as a remote node and the second apparatus starts to act as a relay node using the relay context. Use of the same relay context makes the role switch transparent to the wireless network.

Abstract: This document discloses a solution for assisting transmissions in a wireless network. According to an aspect, a method comprises: monitoring, by a wireless device, a radio resource for a data packet transmitted by a source device to a sink device and capturing the data packet from the radio resource; decoding the data packet by the wireless device; determining, by the wireless device, that the sink device failed in decoding the data packet and that the wireless device is an assisting transmitter for retransmission of the data packet; and upon said determining, determining by the wireless device a radio resource for the retransmission and performing the retransmission of the data packet in the determined radio resource and together with the source device.
