Abstract: Provided is an image display mirror that includes a half mirror and an image display apparatus, reduces an influence of a reflected image provided by the half mirror, and is excellent in visibility of an image displayed on the image display apparatus. The image display mirror for a vehicle includes a first polarizing plate, a half mirror, and an image display apparatus in the stated order from a viewer side. In one embodiment, the first polarizing plate includes a polarizer, and the direction of the polarizer of the first polarizing plate is set so that the transmittance of light output from the image display apparatus that is transmitted through the first polarizing plate becomes maximum.

Abstract: There is provided an optical laminate that can achieve a liquid crystal display apparatus in which the occurrence of moire is suppressed, and which is excellent in brightness and viewing angle characteristic. An optical laminate of the present invention includes in the stated order: a polarizer; a light-diffusing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; a matte layer; and a louver layer. The louver layer has light-transmitting portions each having a trapezoidal section arrayed along a film plane, and light-absorbing portions each having a trapezoidal section arrayed between the light-transmitting portions. A haze value H of the light-diffusing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and a bias angle B of the louver layer satisfy relationships represented by the following expressions (1) to (3): 2≤B≤6 (1) 20≤H≤60 (2) B×H≥40 (3) where the bias angle means a tilt angle of each of the trapezoidal sections with respect to a normal direction.

Abstract: A primary object of the present invention is to provide a polarizing plate excellent in durability. A polarizing plate (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a polarizer (10); and a protective film (21 and 22) arranged on at least one side of the polarizer (10). The polarizing plate (100) has a dimensional change ratio of −0.2% or more in a transmission axis direction thereof when the polarizing plate (100) cut into a size measuring 100 mm by 100 mm is bonded to a glass plate with a pressure-sensitive adhesive and the following operation is repeated 100 times: the polarizing plate (100) bonded to the glass plate is left to stand under an atmosphere at −40° C. for 30 minutes and then left to stand under an atmosphere at 85° C. for 30 minutes.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an optical laminate that can achieve a reflection-type liquid crystal display apparatus excellent in viewing angle characteristic. An optical laminate of the present invention includes a polarizer; a retardation layer configured to substantially function as a λ/4 plate; and a light-diffusing layer. When a transmitted light intensity in a direction corresponding to a polar angle of 10° and a transmitted light intensity in a direction corresponding to a polar angle of 60° when straight light is caused to enter the light-diffusing layer are defined as I10 and I60, respectively, a value for a ratio “I10/I60” is 30 or more.
