Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a sidelink communication method and device. The method includes: A first communication device receives configuration information from a network device. The configuration information is used by the first communication device to detect consistent listen before talk LBT failures that occur in a first resource pool, the configuration information is associated with a first carrier or the first resource pool, and the first resource pool belongs to the first carrier. In addition, the first communication device sends first indication information to the network device. The first indication information indicates the first resource pool in which the consistent LBT failures occur. In this method, validity of a transmission resource of a sidelink resource pool or carrier can be ensured, and network communication reliability can be improved.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method and a related device. In the method, a first terminal device receives a first radio resource control RRC message from a second terminal device, and then sends a first message to a network device through a first radio bearer configured by using obtained first configuration information. The first message includes a first RRC message that requests to set up an RRC connection between the second terminal device and the network device, and identification information of the second terminal device. In this way, communication between the second terminal device and the network device is implemented in a user equipment-to-network relay (U2N) scenario. This increases a success rate of accessing the network device by the second terminal device, enhances a coverage capability of the network device, and improves an access capacity of the network device.
