A system and method of securing apparel to protective equipment is provided. In particular, the system includes an apparel attachment member defining a first side having an adhesive coating that secures the apparel attachment member to the protective equipment, and a second side having a plurality of hooks that removeably engage a plurality of loops located on the apparel.
Abstract:
An electronic throttle assembly uses a torque motor and mechanical system to position the throttle. The assembly is configured to keep the throttle slightly open during times of electrical power failure to the torque motor. Inherent electromagnetic qualities of the torque motor provide a reluctance torque that varies depending on internal stator/rotor geometry and is present in the absence of electrical power to the motor. A mechanical system provides a counter torque. Aligning the throttle to the desired slightly open position at a point where the reluctance torque is countered by the mechanical torque, allows an engine controlled by the throttle to continue to operate even if electrical power to the torque motor is lost.

A remote, secure maintenance and support system, method, network entity and computer program product are provided. The system can include site terminal(s) and/or a site server (collectively “site device(s)”), a data center in communication with the site device(s) over a first secure tunnel, and at least one client terminal in communication with the data center over a second secure tunnel. The site device(s) can be configured to periodically transmit to the data center one or more error messages over the first secure tunnel. The data center can, in turn, be configured to make the error messages accessible to at least one authorized technician operating one of the client terminals. The client terminal can be configured to retrieve at least one of the error messages over the second secure tunnel and to take an action associated with resolving the error message.

An article of apparel may include a base component and an attachment component. The base component may be formed from a plurality of joined material elements, with at least one of the material elements including a first part of a hook-and-loop fastening system. The attachment component may include (a) a cover layer, (b) a plurality of pad elements, and (c) a plurality of securing elements. Each of the pad elements are joined to the cover layer, and each of the securing elements are joined to at least one of the pad elements opposite the cover layer, with the securing elements including a second part of the hook-and-loop fastening system. Moreover, the first part of the hook-and-loop fastening system is joinable to the second part of the hook-and-loop fastening system to secure the attachment component to the base component.

A method for manufacturing printed elements may include receiving an order including data representing indicia. The indicia may be printed by dye-sublimation on a surface of a first material. The first material may be positioned adjacent to and between a second material and a dye retention layer. The first material, the second material, and the dye retention layer may be compressed and heated, such as in a thermalbonding process, to secure the first material to the second material. Custom-ordered indicia of a comparatively high quality may thereby be imparted to printed elements, including textile elements, cushioning elements, and a variety of other products.

A computer-implemented method for generating a memory map of a target computer includes specifying, from a plurality of identifiers stored in a memory of a host computer, at least one identifier associated with a memory layout of the target computer. The method further includes specifying a value associated with the specified at least one identifier. The method further includes generating a memory map definition of the memory map using the at least one identifier and the associated at least one value. The method also includes deploying software on the target computer, the software incorporating the memory map definition and including an executable instruction that references the at least one identifier which is replaced with the associated value.

An article of apparel may include a base layer and a cover layer. The cover layer may be stitchlessly-secured to an exterior surface of the base layer and positioned to extend along a side area and from a pelvic region to a leg region of the base layer. A width of the cover layer may be greater in the pelvic region than the first leg region. In some configurations, a frictional resistance of the exterior surface of the base layer may be greater than a frictional resistance of a surface of the cover layer.

A fish capturing device is provided. The device includes a pair of cage members having a first position in which an opening is defined therebetween through which a fish may be passed and a second position in which each of the cage members are pivoted until the cage members are nested together to form an enclosure for enclosing a fish therein. A latch is configured for latching the pair of cage members into the first position and releasing the pair of cage members into the second position. A tensioner applies tension to the pair of cage members to bias the cage members into the second position to enclose the fish within the pair of cages.
Abstract:
Various articles of apparel having a cylindrical portion, such as an arm region or a leg region, for extending around a joint (such as an elbow or a knee) of a wearer are disclosed. The cylindrical portion includes a textile material, for example, and a pattern located on a surface of the textile material or knitted into the textile material. The pattern has a first density in at least one area of the cylindrical portion oriented substantially parallel to a plane of bending of the joint, and the pattern has a second density in at least one area of the cylindrical portion oriented substantially perpendicular to the plane of bending of the joint. A purpose of the pattern may be to decrease the probability of an overuse syndrome or other injury occurring as a result of use of the joint.
