Abstract: An apparatus is configured to be employed within a base station. The apparatus comprises baseband circuitry which includes a radio frequency (RF) interface and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to select one or more recovery channels based on one or more recovery factors; determine a beam recovery frame structure using the selected one or more recovery channels and based at least partially on beam correspondence capabilities; and provide the selected one or more recovery channels and the determined beam recovery frame structure to the RF interface for transmission to a user equipment (UE) device.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receive information, via radio resource control (RRC) signaling, regarding a search space of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for obtaining downlink control information (DCI) from a radio access network (RAN) node. Based on a slot format (SF) index in the DCI, the UE may determine a slot format for communicating with the RAN node, and communicate with the RAN node in accordance with the slot format. Additionally, a UE may communicate UE capability information, which may include a maximum number of blind decode attempts (BDAs), to the RAN node. The UE may determine shortened channel control elements (sCCEs) to be used, by the RAN node, to transmit shortened downlink control information (sDCI) via a shortened physical downlink control channel (sPDCCH), obtain sDCI by monitoring the sPDCCH in accordance with the determined sCCEs, and communicate with the RAN node in accordance with the sDCI.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a UE and its serving base station in 5G NR systems to signal channel scan or channel sensing to allow channel occupancy time (COT) sharing before transmissions. The COT sharing may be initiated by the base station or by the UE by asserting a CCA indication to enable channel sensing by a UE or base station, respectively. When the UE receives and decodes the asserted CCA indication during downlink transmission, the UE may perform channel sensing during a short interframe space (SIFS) between the downlink transmission and a scheduled uplink transmission. When the UE detects that the sensed RF energy across an intended transmission band is greater than an energy detect threshold, the UE may refrain from transmitting during the scheduled uplink transmission. Otherwise or when the CCA indication is de-asserted, the UE may transmit during the scheduled uplink transmission without performing channel sensing.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE), or other network component can operate to generate listen-before-talk (LBT) operations in order to manage power consumption by configuring the discontinuous reception (DRX) in a dynamic manner. Abstract: Apparatuses of wireless communication devices are disclosed. An apparatus of a user equipment includes one or more processors configured to start a first timer responsive to detection of a Radio Link (RL) failure, start a second timer and trigger a beam recovery procedure one or more times responsive to expiry of the first timer if RL recovery is not detected, and start a third timer and attempt to find a suitable cell for Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection reestablishment responsive to one or more expiries of the second timer if RL recovery fails. The one or more processors are also configured to go to an RRC idle or inactive state responsive to expiry of the third timer if a suitable cell for RRC connection reestablishment is not found.
