Abstract: Methods and systems of providing uplink (UL) transmission power control are provided. The UL transmission power control is provided between access points (APs) and wireless stations in a multi-user (MU) unlicensed wireless network. The disclosed method includes participating in a first wireless communication between an AP and at least one station of a plurality of stations in an unlicensed wireless network, and using an uplink UL transmission power parameter transmitted from the AP to the at least one station to regulate UL power control of UL transmissions between the at least one station and the AP.

Abstract: A method includes sending, from an access point of a wireless network to a first station of a plurality of stations of the wireless network, a packet including a preamble, a data portion, and trigger data that includes non-precoded, omni-direction data. The preamble precedes the data portion. The data portion precedes the trigger data. The trigger data is configured to cause the first station to perform a channel measurement responsive to receiving the packet. The access point sends beamformed data to one or more of the plurality of stations. At least one of the plurality of stations includes a mobile station configured to receive the beamformed data. The method also includes receiving, at the access point from the first station, feedback information that includes channel state information associated with the trigger data. The feedback information is received from the first station without polling individual stations of the plurality of stations.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for channel state information sounding and feedback are provided. In an aspects, a first message is transmitted to one or more wireless communication devices requesting channel state information. In accordance with this aspects, the first message comprises a header and a payload, the header comprising a plurality of fields of a first field type which are useable to determine the channel state information, and the payload comprising parameters for estimating the channel state information. In certain aspects, the channel state information parameters are also provided in the header of the first message. In various aspects a second message comprising the channel state information is received from the one or more wireless communication devices. In one aspect, the first message is a physical layer convergence protocol data unit (PPDU), and the first field type is a long training field (LTF).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An access point (AP) may configure one or more trigger frames, which may include a number of random access resource units (RUs). A number of stations (STAs) may contend to use such random access RUs. Regulation techniques for which STAs may contend for access to random access RUs may include providing that separate subsets of random access RUs may be identified for STAs that are associated and unassociated with the AP. In some implementations, the regulation techniques enable STAs to attempt transmissions using the random access RUs when uplink-limited or if the STA has a non-empty buffer, or combinations thereof. Techniques for acknowledging receipt of an uplink transmission may include transmitting an acknowledgment using a same association identification for the acknowledgment as used in the uplink transmission, and including a STA identifier in a signaling field associated with the acknowledgment.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless communication at a station are described.
