    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node and a network entity may receive a request associated with a protocol data unit (PDU) session. The network node and the network entity may establish, based at least in part on the request, a tunnel associated with the PDU session. The network node may transmit, and the network entity may receive, via the tunnel, energy usage information. The network entity may transmit, based at least in part on the energy usage information, an energy usage report. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for a user equipment (UE) to report information associated with neighbor cells when one or more of the neighbor cells are operating in an energy saving mode. A serving cell of a network entity, such as a primary cell (PCell) may request a neighbor cell report from a served UE and, if a neighboring cell is in a NES mode, the served UE may provide an indication that the neighbor cell is in the NES mode. The UE 115 in some cases may transmit a demand for an on-demand signal from the neighbor cell, and monitor for the subsequent signal. The UE may transmit the neighbor cell report to the serving cell based on information provided from one or more of the transmissions of the neighbor cell.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for broadcast TRS configurations are described. An apparatus is configured to receive, from a network node, a first TRS configuration via a SIB. The apparatus is also configured to monitor, in a connected mode, a first resource for a TRS based on the first TRS configuration. The apparatus is also configured to perform a first set of TRS measurements for the TRS. Another apparatus is configured to provide, for a UE, a first TRS configuration, associated with a TRS for a connected mode of the UE, via a SIB. The apparatus is also configured to communicate, with the UE, based a first set of TRS measurements for the TRS that is associated with a monitored first resource of the TRS associated with the first TRS configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may identify at a first cell of the network entity, an energy savings configuration for a set of cells associated with the network entity. The energy savings configuration may include a respective discontinuous transmission (DTX) activation state for one or more cells of the set of cells, a discontinuous reception (DRX) activation state for the one more cells of the set of cells, or both. The network entity may transmit, to a set of user equipments (UEs), control signaling that indicates an energy savings activation state for the one or more cells of the set of cells based on the energy savings configuration. The first cell barring parameter may indicate whether UEs are barred from accessing the first cell. The UE may receive, via a second cell, second system information that indicates a second cell barring parameter associated with the first cell. The second cell barring parameter may be applicable to UEs of a first type associated with a UE capability to communicate via cells that support one or more network energy saving (NES) procedures. The UE may participate in communications via the first cell based on the UE being of the first type and the second cell barring parameter indicating that UEs of the first type are permitted to access the first cell.

    Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a transmitting entity, such as a base station, to indicate to one or more receiving entities that SSBs of one or more cells (which may include the transmitting entity) are to be transmitted with modified configurations.
