Abstract: A method of distributing a security key context, where the method includes receiving, by a mobility management entity, a first indication from a primary base station, where the first indication is used for requesting a path switch from the mobility management entity and indicating that the path switch is triggered by carrier aggregation between base stations, processing the path switch according to the first indication, and keeping, according to the first indication, the security key context for the path switch unchanged, and sending a second indication to the primary base station, to indicate the primary base station to keep the security key context unchanged, or sending a third indication to the primary base station, to indicate the primary base station to acquire a quantity of times of reversal of a next hop chaining counter in the security key context.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a data offloading method and a base station. The method includes: sending, by a master base station, a first request message to a mobility management control node, where the first request message includes an address of a local gateway of a secondary base station, and the first request message is used to request to perform data offloading at the local gateway of the secondary base station; receiving, by the master base station, a first response message that is sent by the mobility management control node according to the first request message, where the first response message includes a first related identifier (ID) of the local gateway of the secondary base station, and the first related ID is used to indicate a first bearer according to which data offloading is performed at the local gateway of the secondary base station.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system for contending for a channel of an unlicensed frequency band, and an apparatus. The method for contending for a channel of an unlicensed frequency band in the present invention includes: acquiring, according to contention timeslot configuration information, a condition for starting a contention timeslot, and starting the contention timeslot when the condition is met, where the contention timeslot configuration information includes at least one of the following configurations: a time configuration of the contention timeslot, a contention backoff time, a terminal feedback uplink configuration, or a channel available condition; and performing a corresponding operation within the contention timeslot according to the time configuration of the contention timeslot to contend for a channel of an unlicensed frequency band, so as to implement data transmission on the unlicensed frequency band.

Abstract: By using a method for coordination between base stations, one base station allocates a resource to user equipment in a better manner with reference to resource configuration information saved in the base station and resource configuration information of another base station. The method provided in the embodiments of the present invention includes: acquiring, by a first base station, resource configuration information of a first cell, where the first cell is a cell served by the first base station; receiving resource configuration information of a second cell sent by a second base station, where the second cell is a cell served by the second base station; and allocating a resource to user equipment according to the resource configuration information of the first cell and the resource configuration information of the second cell, so that the user equipment communicates with the first cell and the second cell.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a radio link monitoring method, including: contending, by a base station, for permission of use of an unlicensed frequency band; and sending, by the base station, statistical information of the permission of use of the unlicensed frequency band to user equipment after the permission of use of the unlicensed frequency band is obtained by means of contention, where the statistical information indicates data that is obtained after statistics collection is performed on the permission of use of the unlicensed frequency band according to a preset statistical method, so that the user equipment determines whether a radio link fails. The embodiments of the present invention further disclose a related base station, user equipment, and a communications system. The embodiments of the present invention can improve service quality of the unlicensed frequency band.

This resolves a problem that when multiple UEs send uplink data to an eNB by using a same uplink contention resource and a contention collision occurs, the uplink contention resource is totally wasted.

Abstract: A method for processing data after an unlicensed spectrum is released, and user equipment are disclosed. The method includes: when user equipment determines that a base station has released an unlicensed spectrum, monitoring, by the user equipment, release time for which the unlicensed spectrum is released a release time for which the unlicensed spectrum is released; when the release time does not exceed a time threshold, pausing, by the user equipment, a data processing process attached to the unlicensed spectrum, and resuming the data processing process after the base station re-acquires the unlicensed spectrum; and when the release time exceeds the time threshold, terminating, by the user equipment, the data processing process attached to the unlicensed spectrum, and selecting a licensed spectrum to start a new data processing process, or after the base station re-acquires the unlicensed spectrum, starting a new data processing process.
