    Abstract: Techniques for encapsulating video streams containing multiple coded views in a media file are described herein. In one example, a method includes parsing a track of multiview video data, wherein the track includes at least one depth view. The method further includes parsing information to determine a spatial resolution associated with the depth view, wherein decoding the spatial resolution does not require parsing of a sequence parameter set of the depth view. Another example method includes composing a track of multiview video data, wherein the track includes the one or more views. The example method further includes composing information to indicate a spatial resolution associated with the depth view, wherein decoding the spatial resolution does not require parsing of a sequence parameter set of the depth view.

    Abstract: In one example, a device includes one or more media decoders configured to decode media data, a network interface configured to receive a layered coding transport (LCT) Session Instance Description (LSID), the LSID including information representing a plurality of LCT sessions, each of the LCT sessions including data of a respective one of a plurality of representations of a DASH media presentation and data of one or more of the LCT sessions, and a processor configured to initiate consumption of one or more of the representations of the DASH media presentation using the LSID and without using a manifest file for the DASH media presentation, wherein to initiate consumption, the processor is configured to receive, via the network interface, packets of the LCT sessions including portions of data of the one or more of the representations; and provide data of the packets to the one or more media decoders.

    Abstract: In various implementations, modifications and/or additions to the ISOBMFF can indicate that a file that has been formatted according to the ISOBMFF, or a format derived from the ISOBMFF, includes virtual reality content. The file can include a restricted scheme information box, written into a track box in the file. The restricted scheme information box can indicate a virtual reality scheme for the contents of the track. For example, the restricted scheme information box can include a scheme type box, where the type indicates a virtual reality scheme. As a further example, the restricted scheme information box can include a scheme information box that can provide parameters relating to the virtual reality scheme.
