    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), may receive, at a processing layer of the UE, sets of discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle parameters from a corresponding set of applications at an application layer of the UE. The UE may determine, based on the sets of DRX parameters, a common DRX cycle to satisfy each of the sets of applications. The UE may transmit the common DRX cycle to one or more layers in the user plane protocol stack of the UE. A base station may also receive a request, from the UE, for a set of DRX cycle parameters that satisfies the common DRX cycle of the UE. The base station may transmit an indication of the set of DRX parameters, and receive, from the UE, a confirmation of a DRX cycle associated with the set of DRX cycle parameters.

    Abstract: An improved manner of transmitting and receiving messages in sidelink communication is presented in which a wireless device receives sidelink control information (SCI) that indicates a zone ID associated with a sidelink message. The wireless device determines a location of the wireless device and determines whether to send feedback for the sidelink message based, at least in part, on the zone ID associated with the sidelink message and the location of the wireless device. The feedback may include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback, and the sidelink message may include a groupcast message. The wireless device may further receive an indication of an intended range in the SCI and may determine whether to send the feedback based on a combination of the zone ID and the intended range for the sidelink message.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may encapsulate, into a link layer sidelink management message, upper layer signaling for managing a direct communication connection with a second UE. The first UE may transmit, to the second UE, the link layer sidelink management message including the upper layer signaling. The second UE may selectively transmit, to the first UE, a link layer sidelink response message based at least in part on a content of the upper layer signaling in the link layer sidelink management message.     Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus may involve wireless communication in a bundled TTI comprising a first TTI and a second TTI. A first UE may be configured to receive a first data transmission and a first reference signal from a second UE in the first TTI, to transmit a feedback to the second UE, and to receive a second data transmission having one or more transmission parameters adapted based on the feedback in the second TTI.     Abstract: A user equipment (UE) determines that at least one resource of a first set of resources selected by the UE for sidelink communication overlaps with a second set of resources reserved by a set of UEs. The UE determines whether to reselect at least a subset of the first set of resources for a sidelink transmission upon determining that the at least one resource is an overlapping resource. The at least a subset of the first set of resources includes one of a first overlapping resource of the overlapping resource, the overlapping resource, or the overlapping resource and at least a subset of non-overlapping resources of the first set of resources.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The apparatus may receive from a second device a first data packet in one or more receiving slots of a time division duplex frame that includes a plurality of slots. The apparatus may determine whether the first data packet is received incorrectly. The apparatus may wait until the end of the one or more receiving slots and may transmit to the second device a first NACK in a NACK feedback symbol in a configured slot after the end of the one or more receiving slots in response to determining that the first data packet was not received correctly.
