    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for priority-based carrier selection in a system using multiple component carriers (CCs). A mapping may be provided that maps different applications that may be present at a user equipment (UE) to one or more CCs. Each application may have an associated application priority, and each carrier associated with an application may also have an associated CC priority. A UE may select a subset of CCs for a transmission based on the mapping between an application providing a packet for the transmission and the priority associated with each CC. A UE, when receiving transmissions, may identify one or more applications running at the UE and use the mapping to determine a subset of CCs to monitor for transmissions.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) that is configured to transmit a message to a neighboring UE via multiple formats, identify a service parameter indicative of a format to be used for the message. The UE may convey information indicating the service parameter from a first layer of the UE to a second layer of the UE, wherein the first layer is an upper layer with respect to the second layer. The UE may generate, by the second layer and based at least in part on the information, the message in the format for communicating with the neighboring UE. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitting device may identify resource blocks (RBs) used to transmit data in a data transmission. The transmitting device may determine a frequency width of a data channel in a frequency domain that is used to transmit the data based at least in part on the identified RBs. The transmitting device may dynamically determine an allocation of RBs used to transmit control information in a control channel. The allocation of RBs may be based on the frequency width of the data channel and may cause a frequency width of the control channel to match the frequency width of the data channel in the frequency domain. The transmitting device may transmit the control information in the control channel to indicate a location of the data channel.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. For example, a requesting device may transmit a sensor data request message to a responding device. The sensor data request message may include a token identifier associated with the sensor data request message. The requesting device may receive a sensor data response message from the responding device. The sensor data response message may include a first indication of the token identifier at a first layer and a second indication of the token identifier at a second layer. The first layer may be a physical layer that is a lower layer than the second layer. The requesting device may transmit a first feedback message to the responding device and in response to detecting the first indication of the token identifier at the first layer.
