    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first network node may receive, from a second network node, a first set of reference signals, wherein receiving the first set of reference signals comprises receiving each reference signal using a respective antenna element of the first network node. The first network node may transmit, to the second network node, a second set of reference signals, wherein the second set of reference signals is based on the first set of reference signals, and wherein each reference signal of the second set of reference signals is associated with an antenna element of the plurality of antenna elements of the first network node. The first network node may receive, from the second network node, an estimation report comprising estimation information associated with the second set of reference signals.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication to a base station that a total received power for the UE exceeds an overload threshold. In some cases, the indication may be an explicit request for a decrease in transmit power by a specific amount of reduction. The UE may transmit indications that the overload threshold is exceeded to multiple transmit/receive points. The indications may request specific transmit power reduction amounts that are specific to the TRPs, or may be generic indications that the overload threshold is exceeded, and the TRPs may coordinate to reduce their respective transmit powers to satisfy the overload threshold at the UE. The base station may allocate a first set of resources for near field UEs and a second set of resources for far field UEs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station and a user equipment (UE) may utilize multi-port reference signals to determine a beam pair for rank-2 transmissions. For example, a UE may receive a set of multi-port reference signals, where each multi-port reference signal of the set corresponds to a unique beam pair and is received via two ports associated with two different polarizations. The UE may determine a spectral efficiency estimation for each multi-port reference signal of the set, select a beam pair associated with a multi-port reference signal with the highest determined spectral efficiency estimation of the set, and transmit an indication of the selected beam pair to the base station. Therefore, the UE and the base station may communicate using a beam pair which maximizes the spectral efficiency and rate of rank-2 transmissions.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of frequency components to use in sidelink operation based at least in part on an inter-band carrier aggregation configuration. In some aspects, the set of frequency components includes one or more frequency components in a first frequency band and one or more frequency components in a second frequency band. The UE may communicate with another UE over a sidelink using one or more beams that are selected based at least in part on channel conditions associated with the one or more frequency components in the first frequency band and channel conditions associated with the one or more frequency components in the second frequency band.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Different periodicities may be dynamically selected when monitoring and transmitting signaling used for link management, where respective periodicities may be based on the quality of the link between devices. For instance, a first wireless device may use a first monitoring periodicity to monitor for signals transmitted from another wireless device. Upon determining that a link condition has changed (e.g., decreased or reached a threshold), the first wireless device may decrease its monitoring periodicity (and increase monitoring frequency) to detect signals transmitted by the other wireless device more frequently. In such cases, the other wireless device may likewise transmit its measurement signals more often (e.g., in accordance with a second periodicity) based on the link quality. The adjusted monitoring and transmission periodicities may provide additional occasions for the wireless device to detect signals from another device.
