Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a multicast message or a broadcast message that uses a radio link control (RLC) format associated with an RLC acknowledged mode (RLC-AM). The UE may decode the multicast message or the broadcast message to identify information associated with an RLC unacknowledged mode (RLC-UM) based at least in part on a capability of the UE. The UE may operate in accordance with the RLC-UM based at least in part on decoding the multicast message or the broadcast message. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An aerial UE may receive control signaling that indicates a plurality of beam measurement configurations that the aerial UE is to use for beam measurement and reporting associated with a plurality of beams. The aerial UE may monitor a set of beams of the plurality of beams in accordance with a subset of beam measurement configurations of the plurality of beam measurement configurations based on a current time, a current location of the aerial UE, or both, for example. The aerial UE may transmit a measurement report indicating one or more measurements of a subset of beams of the set of beams in accordance with the subset of beam measurement configurations. In some examples, the subset of beam measurement configurations may be associated with an altitude threshold, a three-dimensional zone, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration message identifying a set of resources available for a plurality of UEs for transmission of feedback indications of multi-cast (or broadcast) transmission to the plurality of UEs, the set of resources comprising a plurality of subsets of resources, each subset of resources being associated with a corresponding channel metric for each UE of the plurality of UEs receiving the multi-cast transmission. The UE may determine that a feedback indication is to be provided in response to the multi-cast transmission. The UE may select, based at least in part on a channel metric of the UE, a first subset of the plurality of subsets of resources to use for transmitting a feedback message including the feedback indication. The UE may transmit the feedback message for the multi-cast transmission using resources within the selected first subset of resources.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for using a radio access network (RAN) level negative acknowledgement (NAK) feedback to indicate at least one missing frame from an encoding device. The RAN level NAK feedback replaces or preempts a decoding device sending an end-to-end feedback to the encoding device using real-time transport protocol (RTP) that has a long latency and may cause freezes at the decoding device. For example, an encoding device may send to a network entity a request for a configuration that configures the encoding device to transmit media frames to the decoding device. The network entity may provide a NAK feedback indicating at least one missing frame. Having received the configuration in response to the request, the encoding device transmits media frames to the decoding device via the network entity, and monitors for NAK feedback from the network entity in accordance with the configuration.

Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein enable a user equipment (UE) to autonomously modify one or more transmission parameters, other than a transmit power, for uplink communications after detecting a change in pathloss. The UE may modify the one or more transmission parameters without receiving instructions from a base station, such as in downlink control information, with updated value(s) for the one or more transmission parameters. As a result, the UE and the base station avoid the round trip delay that would otherwise be required to modify the transmission parameter(s) and perform link adaptation. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein apply to non-terrestrial networks with a large round trip delay. Other aspects are described.
