Abstract: A first user equipment (UE) for wireless communication includes a transmitter configured to transmit, to a second UE, a request associated with a sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration of the first UE for sidelink communication between the first UE and one or more UEs that are distinct from the first UE. The first UE further includes a receiver configured to receive, from the second UE based on the request, a message indicating one or more parameters associated with the sidelink DRX configuration. The transmitter is further configured to transmit, to the second UE based on the message, a response indicating one of acceptance of or rejection of at least one parameter of the one or more parameters.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may obtain information indicating a set of parameters associated with a vehicle-to-anything (V2X) application; determine a range parameter based at least in part on a modification to a baseline range parameter, wherein the modification is based at least in part on the set of parameters associated with the V2X application, and wherein the baseline range parameter is associated with the service type of the V2X application; and perform a V2X communication based at least in part on the range parameter for the V2X communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive one of a transmission profile, of an application executing on the UE, that indicates whether sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) is required, or a sidelink communication that indicates whether sidelink DRX is supported. The UE may communicate with one or more other UEs in accordance with a configuration for sidelink DRX, or with sidelink DRX disabled, based at least in part on the transmission profile or the sidelink communication. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to perform groupcast transmission on a sidelink channel of a high frequency band, such as a millimeter wave (mmW) band. The UE may transmit, via a sidelink channel, beamformed repetitions of a packet in multiple directions corresponding to multiple quality of service (QoS) profiles configured for transmission of the packet. The UE may determine precoders to transmit the packet in the multiple directions. Each repetition of the packet may be associated with a separate hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. The UE may perform precoder cycling to transmit the packet in the multiple directions, and the UE may retransmit the packet in directions where the initial transmission was unsuccessful.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. One method for wireless communication at a first device includes receiving a multicast packet from a second device, decoding control header information in the received multicast packet, determining that a decoding procedure associated with a payload of the received multicast packet is unsuccessful and transmitting a negative acknowledgement (NACK) based at least in part on the determining. The method also includes retrieving a list of transmitter identifiers. In some cases, transmitting the NACK is based at least in part on the list of transmitter identifiers. The method further includes determining a transmitter identifier associated with the multicast packet and determining that the transmitter identifier is present in the list of transmitter identifiers.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A cellular user equipment (C-UE) and vehicle UE (V-UE) may perform a discovery process. The C-UE and the V-UE may exchange identification and location information. One of the UEs may communicate the identification information of one or both of the UEs to a base station or a sidelink wireless device. The base station and the sidelink wireless device may be co-located. Based on the identification information of the C-UE and the V-UE, the base station may determine that the C-UE and the V-UE are co-located, and the base station may perform downlink transmissions based on the determined co-location.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method, system, and apparatus may include managing the operation mode of a user equipment in vehicle-to-everything communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may transmit an inactive request message (or a request message) to a base station to indicate the user equipment is switching from a base station scheduling mode (or a radio access network node scheduling mode) to a peer user equipment scheduling mode (or a roadside unit scheduling mode). The user equipment may receive an acknowledgment message from the base station indicating a state change to allow the peer user equipment scheduling mode. In some cases, the user equipment may receive an area identifier from the base station, and the area identifier may indicate an area where the peer user equipment scheduling mode is allowed.
