Abstract:
An inspirator for use with an infrared heater and method of manufacturing a venturi body of the inspirator is described. The inspirator is formed from a solid piece of metal and has an elongated bore having en inlet and an outlet. The inlet smoothly tapers to a venturi with a successively step bore downstream of the venturi to the outlet. The inspirator has a fuel inlet and an air inlet to the venturi.
Abstract:
An apparatus for treating a combustion product stream includes a burner assembly configured to support one or more flames, the burner assembly having at least a portion configured to be driven to or held at one or more first voltages. A collection surface is held at a voltage different than the one or more first voltages to attract particulates charged by the burner assembly.
Abstract:
Processes and systems for producing glass fibers having regions devoid of glass using submerged combustion melters, including feeding a vitrifiable feed material into a feed inlet of a melting zone of a melter vessel, and heating the vitrifiable material with at least one burner directing combustion products of an oxidant and a first fuel into the melting zone under a level of the molten material in the zone. One or more of the burners is configured to impart heat and turbulence to the molten material, producing a turbulent molten material comprising a plurality of bubbles suspended in the molten material, the bubbles comprising at least some of the combustion products, and optionally other gas species introduced by the burners. The molten material and bubbles are drawn through a bushing fluidly connected to a forehearth to produce a glass fiber comprising a plurality of interior regions substantially devoid of glass.
Abstract:
A pilot burner assembly for easy removal of a thermo-electric or other device is disclosed. In an illustrative embodiment, a pilot burner assembly may include a bracket and a resilient clip, which together, help maintain at least some of the pilot burner components in a desired configuration.
Abstract:
A multiflame burner with burner nozzles which can be loaded with fuel gas, particularly for thermal material processing methods, in which at least one of the burner nozzles is provided with at least one auxiliary nozzle opening for generating an auxiliary flame arranged laterally to a main nozzle arrangement for generating a working flame and in the direction of at least one adjacent burner nozzle.
Abstract:
Cooking appliance having an external control panel equipped with one or more regulating valves, where the rotary regulator organ is equipped with various peripheral openings for supplying a flow Q. For the supply of one or another type of gas, NG or LPG, either the control knob or a bezel disk in the external panel are interchangeable on the appliance, being chosen between two different available units, one and the other permitting two different angular position limits A2, A3 of the regulator organ or the supply of a constant flow Qmin through one or another opening with calibrated sections, respectively for NG or LP gas. An appendix in the control knob guided in a slide groove on the control panel of the appliance, or a tongue on the bezel disk stopping the rotation of the control knob, determines the travel limit A2 for the supply of Qmin of NG.
Abstract:
A gas valve unit for adjusting a gas volume flow in a dual circuit gas burner of a gas appliance includes a valve body having a gas inlet and two gas outlets; and a control mechanism constructed to adjust the gas volumetric flow supplied to one of the gas outlets in a number of stages and to adjust the gas volumetric flow supplied to other one of the gas outlets in a number of stages.
Abstract:
A gas burner for use in water heaters, boilers, cooking appliances or the like uses a ceramic cylindrical body to increase conductivity of the gas burner. The gas burner comprises a solid ceramic perforated tube and a flange arranged on one end of the tube. The burner assembly also compromises a cap arranged on the opposite end of the tube from that of the flange, wherein the tube has turn down characteristics of approximately 30 to 1. The tube is manufactured by molding a non-perforated shell within a die assembly. The non-perforated shell is then dried to a predetermined moisture content and machined with a plurality of orifices into the shell to create the burner tube for a ceramic burner assembly.
Abstract:
A gas burner assembly includes a first sheet, a second sheet, and a conduit. The first sheet has an inner face, an outer face, an upper portion, and a lower portion. The second sheet also has an inner face, an outer face, an upper portion and a lower portion. The first and second sheets are secured relative to one another such that the first and second sheets are separated by a gap that defines a manifold between the inner faces of the first and second sheets with an elongate opening between the upper portions of the first and second sheets, the opening forming an outlet from the manifold. The conduit is in communication with the manifold, the conduit being adapted for connection to a source of gas.
Abstract:
A combustor of a water heater includes a burner member and a flame cover. The burner member has a passageway therein with an inlet and an outlet. The flame cover has a plurality of flame holes. The character of the present invention is that the burner member is provided with a room at a top thereof communicated with the passageway. A separating device is put in the room, and the flame cover is connected to the burner member to cover the separating device The separating device has a main outlet and two side outlets right under the flame holes of the flame cover to generate main flames and side flames respectively.
