摘要: Systems and methods for assessing flowability of a multiphase fluid are provided. The method includes agitating a sample of the multiphase fluid contained in a container while controlling an agitation force applied to the sample; pouring the sample, after it has been agitated, into a viscosity cup having an opening at its upper end and an orifice at its lower end and thereby causing the multiphase fluid to flow out of the viscosity cup through the orifice; weighing an amount of the multiphase fluid that has flowed through the orifice and into a receiving vessel over a period of time; and assessing flowability of the multiphase fluid sample using the weight of the multiphase fluid sample in the receiving vessel as a function of time.

摘要: The present invention relates to a system for monitoring food waste. The system includes a weight mechanism configured for weighing a waste receptacle, wherein the waste receptacle is configured for receiving food waste from a plurality of consecutive disposal events before emptying, a processor configured for measuring the difference in weight of the waste receptacle between each disposal event and calculating the weight of a disposal event based upon the difference and a user interface configured to receive at least one indication categorising the food waste in a disposal event by a user. A method for monitoring food waste is also described.

Also disclosed are a climate module configured to electrically yet detachably couple to a balance, wherein the climate module forms a self-contained modular unit and includes various sensors (52, 54, 62) and a path over which data is transmitted to an external processor, and to a method for calibrating a pipette using a balance, wherein an evaporation rate is determined during the calibration process, and the measurement is corrected in accordance with the determined evaporation rate.

The extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus include a plurality of reservoir scales (30), each of which is configured to weigh a reservoir (32) used in connection with the extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus. A plurality of reservoir status lights (40) are provided, with one or more of the reservoir status lights (40) associated with one of the reservoir scales (30). The one or more reservoir status lights (40) associated with one of the reservoir scales (30) emit light from a location that is closer to their associated reservoir scale than to any other reservoir scale of the extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus.
