摘要： The present invention is a lubrication system for movable pins connecting pivotable structural members of a deepwater floating oilfield production platform. The lubrication provides adequate lubrication for easing movement of the pins and also for maintaining the long-term functionality of the pins by reducing the corrosion of the pin assemblies. The lubrication of each of the pins is provided by a closed loop circulation system that provides sufficient flow and pressure to establish hydrostatic bearings around the bearing surfaces of the pin-connected members that are being axially assembled and between pin-connected members that are being rotated relative to each other. The lubrication system provides for continuously lubricating a static pinned connection for the purpose of preventing water intrusion and subsequent corrosion. Furthermore, the lubrication system provides a means for ensuring the lubrication of the most highly loaded zones of a laterally loaded pin connection.

The transmission has at least two different output speed settings adapted to be selected for reciprocating the plunger at different cyclical frequencies. A cycle indicator provides an indication corresponding to a quantity of lubricant dispensed. Embodiments of the grease gun include a pressure relief valve which inhibits damage due to an over-pressure condition, and a circuit breaker which inhibits damage due to electrical overload.

摘要： An ultrasonic leak detector with a wide dynamic bandwidth and repeatable fixed attenuation reference points includes a transducer which receives ultrasonic energy and converts it into an electrical output signal related in intensity and frequency to the received ultrasonic energy. A high gain charge preamplifier is connected to the transducer and generates an amplified version of the transducer's electrical output signal. The amplified signal is then passed through a multi-level logarithmic attenuator having at least one fixed attenuation reference point to create an attenuated version of the detected and amplified ultrasonic signal. The output of the logarithmic attenuator is connected to a frequency shift circuit which converts the ultrasonic frequency signal into an audio frequency signal related in magnitude and frequency to the attenuated signal. The audio frequency signal is then amplified by an audio amplifier and used to drive a signal level indicator which provides an indication of the magnitude of the amplified output signal. The detector may be used with a lubrication tool to determine the amount of lubrication applied to a sealed mechanical device, such as a bearing, by detecting the decrease in received ultrasonic energy as the lubrication reaches the device. The detector may also be used to detect the increase in ultrasonic energy associated with pending mechanical failure.

The valve seat and valve element can be installed as a cartridge.
