    摘要: A keyed power connection system is disclosed. The keyed power connection system may have connectors and terminal studs. Each connector may have a captive fastener and may have a connector keying portion comprising a keyed aperture forming an opening in and defined by a connector body of the connector and having a keyed connector diameter. The connector may receive and be selectably connected to a terminal stud having a keyed stud diameter. The keyed stud diameter and the keyed connector diameter may correspond to ameliorate the risk of connecting a connector to a mismatched terminal stud. The captive fastener may engage the terminal stud to retain the connector in position relative to the terminal stud.

    摘要: A connector system includes an interface connector having a housing having a main body holding a contact array therein. The housing extends between a front end and a back end along a mating axis. The housing includes a cavity therein open to the front end and open to the back end. The cavity is situated proximate to a side of the housing. The cavity has a receiving channel open to the side of the housing. The receiving channel has mounting shoulders at least partially extending therein. The interface connector also includes a fastener having a retention surface. The fastener is configured to be side-loaded into the receiving channel through the side of the housing. The mounting shoulders engage the fastener within the cavity to limit transaxial movement of the fastener along the mating axis.

    摘要: A cable for connecting to a connector of a high-voltage device includes an integral yield sensor. The yield sensor may be a pressure or force sensor, or a displacement sensor, including a stator part and a mobile part, and a spring for maintaining a compression force on the end portion of the cable towards the connector of the high-voltage device. According to an embodiment of the invention the displacement sensor includes a Hall effect sensor and a linear array of magnetic element's arranged such that the Hall effect sensor moves relative to the linear array if there is any movement between the stator and mobile parts of the sensor. The magnetic field readings are interpreted in order to determine the amount of movement, and can be transmitted wirelessly to a remote monitoring station. A system is also described for controlling the high voltage device in response to pressure and other information received from sensors in the cable.

The dielectric insert is configured to hold terminals such that mating interfaces of the terminals are configured to mate with corresponding terminals of the mating connector and such that termination interfaces of the terminals are configured to be terminated to a cable. The dielectric insert is a modular insert that is configured to hold the terminals when the termination interfaces are flat interfaces and is also configured to hold the terminals when the termination interfaces are crimp interfaces.
