Abstract:
A method of generating a stream comprising synchronized interactive content is described. The method comprises the steps of: transmitting a first stream from a studio to a terminal or a terminal system of a first user and to a buffer; transmitting in response to the first stream a second stream to a mixer connected to the buffer, the second stream comprising content generated in reaction to the content of the first stream; providing the mixer with a temporal relation between the packets in the first and second stream; generating a first output stream comprising a substantially synchronized content by mixing packets in second stream with packets of the buffered first stream on the basis of the temporal relation.
Abstract:
A headphone and method for allowing manually controlled reception of ambient sound by a user. More particularly, the invention relates to a headphone for listening to an audio signal while allowing varying amounts of ambient sound to the user. In one aspect, the headphone comprises a manually-controllable physical characteristic that controls the amount of ambient sound accessible to the user. The physical characteristic can be sound ports that can be opened or closed. In another aspect, the headphone can comprise a microphone receptive of ambient sound, wherein the user can control the proportion of sound that comes from the ambient sound or the audio signal. The microphone can be part of a noise cancellation system.
Abstract:
A music session system which makes it possible to expand the functions of electronic musical apparatuses. The server is connected to a first electronic musical apparatus belonging to a first user and capable of executing music sessions, a first personal computer (PC) belonging to the first user and capable of executing additional functions, a second electronic musical apparatus belonging to a second user and capable of executing music sessions, and a second PC belonging to the second user and capable of executing additional functions via a network so as to perform transmission and reception of information to and from these apparatuses. When the first electronic musical apparatus requests the apparatuses belonging to the second user to execute a music session and an additional function, the first and second electronic musical apparatuses are instructed to execute the music session, and the first and second PCs are instructed to execute the additional function.
Abstract:
Method for operating an electronic sound generating device in which different sound sequences (acoustic output data) for controlling the sound generation device and rules (control commands) for selecting and/or modifying the sound sequences as a function of input signals provided by external sensors are stored, and the sound generation device then selects and/or changes sound sequences depending on the current input data provided by the external sensors and on the rules and then plays the sequences.
Abstract:
A musical contents system comprises a contents providing server comprising a connecting unit that connects to a communication network, and a contents storage unit that stores musical contents in a storage area corresponding to a user of an electronic musical device; and an electronic musical device comprising a connecting unit that connects to the contents providing server via the communication network, an accessing unit that accesses to the contents storage unit via the communication network, and a contents operating unit that performs an operation to the musical contents stored in the contents storage area corresponding to the user. The musical contents purchased or created by the user can be stored in a data center; therefore, convenience of using the musical contents is improved and the cost is decreased or cut off.
Abstract:
A synthesizer 10 is configured such that when a PC 30 is connected thereto, the synthesizer 10 accepts selection of a tone used for sound generation from among a tone included in an internal tone generation unit 16 and a tone included in a tone generation module 312 provided by the external PC 30, and causes the PC 30 to enable the function of the tone generation module 312, downloads an edit operation accepting program corresponding to the tone generation module 312 from a UI control program memory 315 of the PC 30, and executes the downloaded edit operation accepting program to thereby realize a function of editing data of the tone included in the tone generation module 312, the data being stored in the PC 30, when the tone included in the tone generation module 312 of the PC 30 is selected.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for distributing music to members of a music sharing group. In one aspect, the method can include identifying a mobile audio player device that introduces a music selection to another mobile audio player device. A signal comprising the music selection, a musical identifier that identifies the music selection and an identifier that identifies the transmitting device is transmitted from a first mobile device to a second mobile device. The second device stores the musical identifier and the identifier of the transmitting device in association with one another. In another aspect, the devices are enabled to connect over a wide area network and use the identifiers to obtain the music selection from a music distributor over the network. In yet another aspect, the transmitting device receives points or other compensation for introducing the music selection to the second device.

Abstract:
A music editing apparatus is provided that uses so-called time line meta data that describe a beat and melody structure of a song to automatically accomplishes an automatic DJ remix play with a low load. The apparatus also includes a synchronous reproduction controlling section which sends a master beat to the remix processing section and reproduces a plurality of songs corresponding to a remix process which the remix processing section designates corresponding to a remix pattern and the meta data and a mixing section which mixes the songs reproduced by the synchronous reproduction controlling section. The synchronous reproduction controlling section also includes a phase comparator which compares a phase of a beat synchronous signal generated from the meta data supplied from the remix processing section with that of the master beat signal; an integrating circuit which integrates a phase compared output of the phase comparator; and a correcting section which corrects a tempo based on an integrated output of the integrating circuit.
Abstract:
A technique for creating polyphonic audio signals of telecommunication devices such that the technique may be performed quickly without a user needing music theory knowledge. A midi-composer application includes a graphical user interface for assisting a user in creating the polyphonic audio signal. The graphical user interface includes at least one track for receiving placement of at least one music block and a plurality of bars within the at least one track for relating the at least one music block with a selected time period. The at least one music block includes at least one type of music block representing an audio loop or sample.
