摘要: The disclosure relates, inter alia, to a system comprising: (1) an electric power grid; (2) an electrolyzer generating a first stream of hydrogen in communications link with the electric power grid; (3) hydrogen production means for producing a second stream of hydrogen, said hydrogen production means being a non-electrolyzer in communications link with the electrolyzer; (4) a first conduit leading to a hydrogen user through which hydrogen flows to the hydrogen user; (5) a second conduit connecting the electrolyzer to the first conduit through which hydrogen from the electrolyzer flows to the first conduit at a first location; (6) a third conduit distinct from the second conduit connecting the non-electrolyzer to the first conduit through which hydrogen from the non-electrolyzer flows to the first conduit at a second location distinct from the first location; and (7) means for controlling and maintaining a continuous flow of hydrogen to the hydrogen user.

摘要: An electrolyzer system includes electrolyzer cell columns each containing at least one stack of electrolyzer cells that are configured to receive a steam inlet stream and an air inlet stream, and to generate a hydrogen exhaust stream and an oxygen exhaust stream, an air recuperator heat exchanger surrounded by the electrolyzer cell columns and configured to heat the air inlet stream using the oxygen exhaust stream, a steam recuperator heat exchanger surrounded by the electrolyzer cell columns and configured to heat the steam inlet stream using the hydrogen exhaust stream, an outer column heater located radially outward of the electrolyzer cell columns and configured to radiate heat toward radially outward surfaces of the electrolyzer cell columns, and an inner column heater located radially inward of the electrolyzer cell columns, surrounding the air recuperator heat exchanger and the steam recuperator heat exchanger, and configured to radiate heat toward radially inward surfaces of the electrolyzer cell columns.

摘要: A hydrogen mixed gas generation method using a device that includes a heating pipe housing therein a reduction acceleration member and a heating part including a heating device that heats the heating pipe includes a first process and a second process. The first process includes: causing raw water to flow into the heating pipe and heating the flowing raw water to generate water vapor; heating the generated water vapor to between 500° C. to 800° C.; causing the heated water vapor to be in contact with the reduction acceleration member that is heated along with the raw water to reduce the water vapor and generate hydrogen gas. The second process includes: diluting the hydrogen gas generated in the first process to obtain hydrogen mixed gas whose concentration of hydrogen gas is between 500 ppm to 20000 ppm.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for transient operation of a solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) stack having a cathode side and an anode side, the method comprising: supplying a flush gas comprising CO2 to said anode side; and applying a small electrolysis current of 0.001-0.05 A/cm2 active cell area, such as 0.01-0.05 A/cm2 active cell area, to the cells in the SOEC stack, for thereby generating oxygen in the anode side or for transporting to the anode side any oxygen already available in the cathode side. The method comprises also operating the SOEC stack during shut-down with a flush gas comprising CO2 on the anode side, and recycling anode product gas comprising oxygen being generated under prior normal operation of the SOEC stack, with no small current being applied. By the invention it is possible to generate small amounts of O2 to safeguard the pO2 and stability of the oxy-electrode in the anode side. The invention provides protection of not only the oxy-electrode, but also the fuel electrode in the cathode side.

摘要: Production of fuels from low carbon electricity and from carbon dioxide by the use of a solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) and Fischer-Tropsch is shown. Fischer-Tropsch is an exothermic reaction that can be used to produce steam. Steam produced from the Liquid Fuel Production (LFP) reactor system, where the Fischer-Tropsch reaction occurs, is used as feed to the SOEC. The higher temperature steam improves the efficiency of the overall electrolysis system. The integration of the LFP steam improves the efficiency of the electrolysis because the heat of vaporization for the liquid water does not have to be supplied by the electrolyzer.

The electrical pump is placed at a depth of the riser where the geothermal liquid is in a single-phase.
