摘要： The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the production of a corrugated cardboard product. The apparatus comprises a first one-sided machine and a second one-sided machine which are provided in each case with a press-down belt and with a first and a second grooving roller respectively. The first and the second grooving roller are designed for embossing a wave profile onto a first and a second paper web respectively. The press-down belts serve, together with the respective grooving rollers, for connecting the first and the second paper webs in each case to a non-corrugated web for the production of a first and a second single-flute corrugated cardboard web respectively. The first one-sided machine is equipped with a first oblique guide roller, the axis of rotation of which is inclined at a vertical inclination angle between side margins of the first paper web.

摘要： A method for minimizing cross-machine direction variations in temperature and moisture content of a web running through a corrugator single facer. The method includes running the web through a web preheater station of the single facer and capturing an image representing an actual temperature of the web downstream of the preheater station in the cross-machine direction with a thermal imaging device. The method includes sending the image to a programmed process controller that applies thermal pattern recognition to the image and determining with the controller if the actual temperature of the web deviates from a desired temperature range. The method also includes determining with the controller a corrective action that will bring the actual temperature of the web within the desired temperature range and generating and sending a control signal with the controller to vary an operating condition of the preheater station so as to bring about the corrective action.

摘要： Improved method for corrugating paperboard, wherein a web of a corrugating medium is treated with a solid lubricant for a release agent and supplied to heated corrugating rolls to which a water mist has been applied evenly over the rolls. The web is shaped between the rolls by the application of pressure from the rolls and steam formed from the water spray. The availability of steam at the nip of the corrugating rolls provides improved flute formation and the solid lubricant allows the corrugated paperboard to release from the corrugating rolls without damage to the flutes. Standard corrugating equipment is enabled to operate at higher production rates and to accept lower quality paper for corrugating. Equipment is provided to maintain a supply of solid lubricant in a water suspension for application to the paperboard, preferably via a water spray directed on the corrugating rolls.

摘要： A water resistant corrugated paperboard material is prepared wherein the paperboard components (medium and liner or liners) are each coated on both sides with a thermoplastic film which acts as a water barrier and a water resistant adhesive for bonding the components together. The corrugated medium is also pretreated with an internal size treatment to prevent edge wicking, and, for the purpose of corrugating the medium without deleteriously affecting the thermoplastic film, the corrugating rolls are preheated to a temperature slightly less than the melting point of the thermoplastic film while a lubricating material is simultaneously applied to either the corrugating rolls or the medium at the corrugating nip.
