Abstract:
Provided is a variable acupressure ball for a massaging apparatus having a drive motor, a reducer connected to the drive motor, and an acupressure unit which has at least one acupressure ball disposed on top of a body thereof and which is coupled to a rotational shaft of the reducer so as to be rotated together. The variable acupressure ball includes a shaft protruding from the top of the body of the acupressure unit, a cap-shaped acupressure ball loosely fitted around the shaft, and an elastic unit resiliently restoring an interval between the cap-shaped acupressure ball and the shaft. The acupressure ball formed on the acupressure unit is variable in position according to acupressure strength.
Abstract:
Method and device for diagnosing and/or treating sleep apnea and related sleep disorders, such as snoring and respiratory effort-related arousals, includes an inflatable implement which is applied to the external surface of the chest and/or abdomen (Vest). Pressure is caused to rise to a predetermined positive value. The rate of airflow into and/or out of said Vest is monitored, whereby the Vest Flow is displayed or processed to obtain information about the breathing characteristics of the patient.
Abstract:
A device is disclosed for generating controlled pneumatic pressure to a human body to achieve mucus clearance from the pulmonary system. Controlled pneumatic pressure consisting of individual vibratory pressure and constrictive pressure variations are generated and applied to the thorax to promote mucus clearance. The vibratory pressure variation is channeled to a pressure receiver secured to the upper thorax of the body, and the constrictive pressure variation is channeled to a pressure receiver secured to the lower thorax of the body. The vibratory pressure variation serves to loosen the mucus, while the constrictive pressure variation provides the motive force that promotes mucus expulsion from the pulmonary system.
Abstract:
The waist massager includes an annular massage assembly and a grip assembly. The annular massage assembly is composed of a ring body with a plurality of roller sets arranged on an inside thereof. The grip assembly is connected to the annular massage assembly to be able to push and pull the roller sets transversely.
Abstract:
A patient therapy device for providing treatment to a patient. The therapy device improves conformance to a joint and adjoining body parts. The device includes an angle adjustment assembly for forming the device into one of a plurality of predefined angles. The predefined angles may correspond to a desired angle of a joint during treatment. Further disclosed is a device for assisting a user with applying the therapy device to a body part. Also disclosed are methods of administering a treatment to an animate body.
Abstract:
A HFCWO system includes an air pulse generator having a blower inlet in communication with a blower and an air port in communication with an inflatable garment. The air pulse generator includes a housing and an air pulse assembly coupled to the housing. The air pulse assembly has at least one diaphragm, at least one driver operable to move the at least one diaphragm and at least one spring arranged to bias the at least one diaphragm away from a portion of the housing.
Abstract:
An apparatus, system, and method treat a neurological disorder by applying proprioceptive feedback to a wearer of a garment. Specifically, the garment includes one or more pressurizable reservoirs that, when pressurized, apply distributed pressure to the wearer. A system including the garment also includes a mechanism for pressurizing the reservoir and, optionally, a controller operable to control the pressurizing mechanism.
Abstract:
An exercising apparatus which enables a user to perform stepping exercises and waist twisting exercises simultaneously. The apparatus is provided with an electric motor without an increase in its size and cost, and this enables the user to perform effective exercises. The exercising apparatus (1) has left and right footboards (2L, 2R); an oscillation mechanism (10) for making the left and right footboards (2L, 2R) oscillate vertically about an oscillating spindle (27) provided on the front side of the left and right footboards (2L, 2R); a swing mechanism (11) for making the left and right footboards (2L, 2R) swing in a reciprocating fashion in the left-right direction with the boards (2L, 2R) maintained adjacent to each other, the boards (2L, 2R) swinging about a swing spindle (15) having a vertical axis; and an electric motor (12) for driving the oscillating mechanism (10) and the swing mechanism (11) simultaneously.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fitness device (1) in the form of a garment, comprising at least one skin stimulation means (5) which is actuated by fluid pressure and, in a stimulation area (13, 16), acts on the skin surface of a wearer (2) of the fitness device. Such fitness devices are known as low pressure suits. To enhance the action of said fitness devices, the skin stimulation means (5) is transferred according to the invention from a low pressure state, in which a low pressure acts on the skin surface (19) in the stimulation area (20), into an overpressure state, in which an overpressure acts on the skin surface (19) in the stimulation area (18).
