Abstract: The present invention relates to a 5th-generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system provided for supporting higher data transmission rates than 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). The present invention relates to a method in which an access point (AP) operates a full-duplex scheme in a communication system supporting a beam-forming scheme, the method comprising the steps of: generating a magnetic interference intensity table according to transmitted beam patterns and received beam patterns; determining, by the AP, a transmitted beam pattern and a received beam pattern for all stations (STAs) on the basis of channel measurement feedback information received from the stations, which provide service, and the electromagnetic-interference intensity table; and performing a communication operation with each of the stations on the basis of the determined transmitted beam pattern and received beam pattern.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided to support a higher data transmission rate beyond the 4G communication system, such as LTE. The present invention provides a method for estimating a downlink channel by a receiver in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: estimating the downlink channel on the basis of a reference signal to recover an information bit, and checking whether the information bit recovery has succeeded; and when the information bit recovery has not succeeded, selecting at least one of the received signals as a virtual reference signal on the basis of the accuracy of the data reconstructed at a related resource location and the correlation between the related resource location and a resource location related to the reference signal, and estimating the downlink channel on the basis of at least one virtual reference signal.

Abstract: One or more embodiments provide a method for controlling array antenna device in a base station (BS) in a communication system. The method includes determining whether to perform a calibration operation for BSs while operating in one of a normal mode and an interference control mode. The method also includes transiting from the one of the normal mode and the interference control mode to a calibration mode based on the determining result of whether to perform the calibration operation for the BSs. A reference antenna among antennas included in the array antenna device is used in all of the normal mode, the interference control mode, and the calibration mode.

Abstract: A method for determining an uplink (UL) channel quality by a base station (BS) includes obtaining a coverage class (CC) value of a user equipment (UE), receiving a random access (RA) signal from the UE, determining an UL channel quality of a band in which the RA signal is transmitted, based on the CC value and the RA signal, and generating UL resource allocation information based on the UL channel quality and transmitting the UL resource allocation information to the UE. The BS includes a transceiver configured to obtain a CC value of a UE and to receive a RA signal from the UE, and a controller configured to determine an UL channel quality of a band in which the RA signal is transmitted, based on the CC value and the RA signal. A UE includes determines a CC value of the UE based on a DL signal.
