Abstract:
A foldable display is disclosed. In one aspect, the foldable display includes a display panel including: a plurality of flat regions and a folding region interposed between the flat regions. Each of the flat regions includes a fixed region and a semi-fixed region interposed between the fixed region and the folding region. The foldable display also includes a plurality of substrates respectively attached to the flat regions and a plurality of fixed adhesive members respectively interposed between the fixed regions and the substrates. The fixed adhesive members respectively attach the substrates to the fixed regions. The foldable display further includes a plurality of semi-fixed adhesive members respectively interposed between the semi-fixed regions and the substrates. The semi-fixed adhesive members are configured to respectively attach/detach the semi-fixed adhesive regions to/from the substrates based on the degree to which the display panel is folded.
Abstract:
A rollable display device includes: a window member; a first pressure sensitive adhesive member arranged under the window member; a display module detachable from and attachable to the window member by the first pressure sensitive adhesive member; a housing having a groove through which the window member, the first pressure sensitive adhesive member, and the display module are configured to enter and exit from the housing; a first rotation member on which the window member and the first pressure sensitive adhesive member are rollable or slidable; and a second rotation member on which the display module is rollable or slidable.
Abstract:
A rollable display apparatus includes a flexible panel including a main panel with a display and a dummy panel with a wire connected to the display, a housing to accommodate the flexible panel, a rotatable rolling drum in the housing and coupled to a first end of the flexible panel, a supporting base moveable into and out of the housing and coupled to a second end of the flexible panel, and a printed circuit board connected to the second end of the flexible panel, the printed circuit board being on the supporting base.
Abstract:
A flexible display and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the method includes forming a sacrificial layer on a support substrate, wherein the sacrificial layer includes a plurality of patterns continuously formed thereon and a plurality of grooves formed between the patterns. The method also includes forming a display unit on the sacrificial layer, dissolving and removing the sacrificial layer with water and separating the display unit from the support substrate.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a curved display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the method includes providing a frame, providing a flexible display panel and attaching a first area of the flexible display panel to the frame. The method also includes attaching a second area of the flexible display panel to the frame, wherein the providing of the flexible display panel comprises attaching a release paper to a surface of the flexible display panel, the release paper comprising first and second release areas respectively corresponding to the first and second areas of the flexible display panel. The method further includes removing the first release area from the flexible display panel before attaching the first area and removing the second release area from the flexible display panel before attaching the second area.

Abstract:
A rollable display may include a polyhedral drum and a flexible panel. The polyhedral drum includes a plurality of substantially flat surface portions and a plurality of curved surface portions. The plurality of curved surface portions connect adjacent flat surface portions to each other on an outer circumferential surface of the polyhedral drum. The flexible panel is disposed around the outer circumferential surface of the polyhedral drum. A top portion and a tail portion of the flexible panel may overlap each other on substantially the same flat surface portion of the polyhedral drum. The top portion and the tail portion correspond to respective ends of the flexible panel.
Abstract:
A foldable display apparatus includes: a first flexible panel and a second flexible panel, the first and second flexible panels being separate from each other; a first case supporting the first flexible panel and a second case supporting the second flexible panel; and a link member foldably connecting the first and second cases, and adjacent boundary regions of the first and second flexible panels are curved.
