    Abstract: A target user equipment (UE) may receive, from each relay UE of a set of relay UEs, a synchronization signal block (SSB) through each transmit beam of a set of transmit beams from the UE through each receive beam of a set of receive beams at the target UE. The relay UE may transmit the paging message through each transmit beam of the set of transmit beams. The target UE may determine a beam pair based on the received SSB, and receive the paging messaged using the beam pair. The target UE may also receive, from a relay UE, a paging message through one or more sidelink channels from each transmit beam of a set of transmit beams of the relay UE through each receive beam of a set of receive beams at the target UE and decode the received paging message.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Wireless communications systems may support beam measurements triggered by a wake-up signal (WUS) and that triggers an active duration of a receiving user equipment (UE). The WUS may trigger the receiving UE to perform a beam sweeping procedure during a beam measurement occasion that immediately preceding the active duration, or the UE may perform the beam sweeping procedure in the WUS resource itself. A UE may perform beam measurement procedures during active durations of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, or outside of active durations of the DRX cycle. A receiving UE may be configured with a timing for performing a beam measurement procedure based on one or more offset values. The timing offset values may indicate a timing during active durations or prior to active durations.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for handling acknowledgement and retransmission timers during sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) communication. An example method by a transmitter user equipment (UE) generally includes transmitting a first repetition of a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) to a receiver UE prior to entering an inactive state, while the transmitter UE is operating in a sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) mode; returning to an active state to monitor for acknowledgment feedback from the receiver UE, wherein the return is based on a first timer relative to an end of the first repetition of the PSSCH; remaining in the active state for a duration defined by a second timer; and taking one or more actions depending on whether the transmitter UE receives acknowledgment feedback during the duration indicating failed reception of the first repetition of the PSSCH by the receiver UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described related to timer-based sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX). A UE may receive configuration information for a sidelink DRX mode from a base station or another UE, which may indicate one or more parameters of the sidelink DRX mode. When operating in the sidelink DRX mode, a group of UEs may have shared active durations and inactive durations for coordinating sidelink communications. In a timer-based sidelink DRX mode, if a UE receives or transmits a sidelink communication, the UE may initiate an inactivity timer, and the UE may continue to monitor a sidelink channel for other sidelink communications while the timer is running. One or more rules may govern the operation of an inactivity timer with respect to the shared inactive durations.

    Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a base station to page a target UE in an idle mode via a relay UE. In one aspect, a first UE receives, from a base station, a paging relay request message including paging information for at least a second UE, each paging information including a UE identity for the second UE and a paging type. The first UE transmits a paging message from the first UE to the second UE over sidelink. In another aspect, a base station generates a paging relay request message including paging information for at least a second UE, the paging information indicating a UE ID for the second UE and a paging type. The base station transmits, to a first UE, the paging relay request message, the paging relay request message indicating a request for the first UE to relay paging information to the second UE over sidelink.

A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a sidelink beam reporting resource configuration.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a first base station or a base station component may receive an assistance information message associated with a sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration for communications between the first UE and a second UE. The first base station may transmit the assistance information message received from the first UE to a second base station or a second base station component. The first base station and the second base station may communicate with one another via a direct link or an interface, and the second base station may transmit an indication of the sidelink DRX configuration for the first UE to the first base station via the interface. The first base station may then transmit the sidelink DRX configuration to the first UE, along with an access link DRX configuration for the first UE.
