Abstract: A relay supporting multiple relay modes is provided. The relay transmits capability information to a base station, the capability information indicating support for a first relay mode and a second relay mode. The relay determines a mode of operation, either on its own or based on an indication of a mode of operation from the base station, wherein the mode of operation comprises the first relay mode or the second relay mode. The relay communicates with at least one of the base station or another wireless device based at least in part on the determined mode of operation.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for enhancement for amplify-and-forward relay. Instead of merely passing received signal from a source, relay may equalize the received signal based on reference signal contained in the received signal, before amplifying and transmitting the signal to a destination. Compared to amplify-and-forward, equalize-and-forward may compensate the received source signal for various imperfections such as channel distortions and phase errors, using demodulation reference signal and phase tracking reference signal. The relay may apply Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to equalize the signal in tone domain.

Abstract: In order to maintain conformance with exposure limits, in band measurements may be performed. A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus may be provided for wireless communication at a user equipment. The apparatus receives an indication of a cell specific resource, e.g., a cell specific resource available for MPE measurement. The apparatus then performs a measurement based on the cell specific resource and determines whether to adjust a transmission characteristic of the user equipment based on whether the measurement meets a threshold. In another aspect a base station apparatus may configure a cell specific resource in which a user equipment may perform an MPE measurement and control use of the cell specific resource for the MPE measurement.

In one aspect, the apparatus may maintain first information associated with a correlation between each of a plurality of wireless device positions and wireless device orientations and a plurality of nodes, at least one subarray, and a corresponding beamforming direction. In another aspect, the apparatus may transmit the first information associated with the correlation to a plurality of nodes.
