Abstract: The systems and methods described herein support efficient SDM operation in IAB networks. A first node receives a semi-static resource allocation from a CU based on at least one multiplexing capability of the first node. The first node communicates with a second node based on the semi-static resource allocation. The first node also transmits a change request to the CU to modify the semi-static resource allocation, and the first node may communicate with the second node based on the modified semi-static resource allocation. The at least one multiplexing capability includes at least one of SDM or FDM, including full duplex or half duplex. The at least one multiplexing capability is also with respect to one or more transmission direction combinations of the first node.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for autonomous beamforming configuration change. A method that may be performed by a wireless node includes determining a communication mode to be used for communication by the wireless node, wherein the determining of the communication mode includes determining whether the communication is associated with multiple simultaneous communications with one or multiple other wireless nodes. The method may also include determining a beamforming configuration to be used for the communication based on the communication mode, and communicating in accordance with the communication mode using the beamforming configuration.

Abstract: In order to maintain conformance with exposure limits, in band measurements may be performed. A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus may be provided for wireless communication at a user equipment. The apparatus receives an indication of a cell specific resource, e.g., a cell specific resource available for MPE measurement. The apparatus then performs a measurement based on the cell specific resource and determines whether to adjust a transmission characteristic of the user equipment based on whether the measurement meets a threshold. In another aspect a base station apparatus may configure a cell specific resource in which a user equipment may perform an MPE measurement and control use of the cell specific resource for the MPE measurement.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for switching between full duplex and half duplex in wireless nodes. A wireless node may measure self-interference for one or more transmitter-receiver beam pairs. Based on the self-interference measurements, the wireless node may communicate on a beam pair in full duplex or half duplex. A duplex mode may be determined based on self-interference, as well as, optionally with other metrics such as rate and latency. A wireless node may switch between full duplex and half duplex based on the duplex mode determination. In addition, suitable beam pairs may be selected, along with associated duplex modes.
