Abstract: In multi-beam communication, the UE may assist in the scheduling of beams utilized during the multi-beam communication by improving the manner in which the quality of the beam is reported to the network. The apparatus may measure a signal received from a base station on at least one beam. The apparatus may detect a triggering event for providing CSI for the at least one beam. The apparatus may transmit an uplink transmission comprising a CSI report in response to detecting the triggering event. The apparatus may receive an uplink request from a UE for providing CSI for at least one beam. The apparatus may transmit an indication scheduling a CSI report in response to the uplink request. The apparatus may receive an uplink transmission from the UE comprising the CSI report for the at least one beam.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods can prioritize updated indication (TCI) states. A method of wireless communication, performed by a user equipment includes receiving first downlink control information (DCI). The first DCI indicates a first (TCI update. The method also includes receiving second DCI. The second DCI indicates a second TCI update different than the first TCI update. The method also includes transmitting, based on the first DCI, a first acknowledgement (ACK) associated with the first DCI. The method further includes transmitting, based on the second DCI, a second ACK associated with the second DCI. The method further includes switching, based on a prioritizing of the first TCI update or the second TCI update, from a first TCI state to a second TCI state.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a UE transmits an indication of capability of the UE to support one or more reference signal (RS) types as a quasi co-location (QCL) source RS for one or more transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states. A base station receives the indication, and determine a TCI state with a QCL source RS based on the indication of the UE capability. The base station transmits, to the UE, a designation of the TCI state with the QCL source RS associated with one or more scheduled communications.
